Is it possible to change the profile of my nose without affecting the front? (photos)

It is possible to change nasal profile by reducing the slight hump and it will not effect the frontal view at all. Since nothing needs to be done to the tip it makes the surgery less complicated as well.RegardsDr. J

 Remember, the nose is a three-dimensional structure so making changes in one dimension will affect the other dimensions. When removing the dorsal hump, the nose will be more flat and wide in appearance, therefore osteotomies  of the nasal bones are required. Computer imaging would be helpful to understand what can and cannot be accomplished with the procedure.

I like the overall shape of your nose(though the tip complex may benefit from a slight refinement on the frontal view). I wonder if your issue with the profile has to do with overall facial balance(can't see because your hair covers our upper face and your mouth and chin are covered) and not so much the nose per se.Just a consideration...............

Changing the profile will affect the front view to some extent.  If you are lowering the dorsum. then this can flatten the from view. Osteotomies are often performed to then narrow the nose so it does not appear flat and wide.

You have a small dorsal jump on the profile view which can definitely be corrected without other changes to the nose. Not sure what you mean by "large tip". As I understand it you are referring to a slightly increased columellar show, which also can be improved without other changes to the tip. You need to get a consultation with a rhinoplasty specialist to discuss your options. 

Based upon the poorly posted photos I think a full conservative rhinoplasty would help.>>>>>>>>>>

 Hi, I have performed and taught Rhinoplasty fir 30 years and yes the nasal bridge can be reduced slightly during Rhinoplasty without changing the front view of the nose.  The chin is hidden on the profile view but I am wondering if your chin that might be weak.  A weak chin makes the nose appear large on profile.  Chin augmentation, with a chin implant, would add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the nose and lower face.  This can be done at the same time as a a Rinoplasty.  Hope this helps.   

It is possible to change the profile with a minor change to the front view.  If the tip is made smaller the results could make a small difference in the view of your nose from all sides.  Consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is highly experienced in conservative Rhinoplasty.
