At age 59 I was ready to have breast reduction surgery. People assume large breasts equate back pain. Not so in my case. Having Fibromyalgia for 30 years meant very sensitive shoulders for bra straps to lie on 8 to 12 hours a day. Also, the best, supportive bras were costing over one hundred dollars just to " let me down " a few weeks later. I turned to the internet to find a top-rated surgeon in the Fort Wayne area, and the internet did not disappoint! Plastic Surgery Innovation caught my eye. I studied about Dr. Joe Mlakar, his practicing history and accomplishments. It was the patients' testimonies that spoke volumes to me. They were so positive and happy with their changes. I booked an appointment for a consultation. From the moment I entered Dr. Mlakars' office I felt at home. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The nurses were very personable and knowledgeable. My husband and I loved the fact that " Nurse Lori " was Dr. Mlakars' wife. After all, we felt we were meeting family for the first time. The consultation provided answered all our questions. Lori showed us a video of the procedure I was interested in, Mastopexy with decrease in size. We met Dr. Mlakar and he was incredible kind. There were no pushy sales speeches or a rush to schedule the procedure. A date in April was selected for my surgery, but I needed another visit to Dr. Mlakars' office to learn how to prepare for surgery. Nurse Lori was terrific in explaining what test needed completed and she presented us a folder of information of presurgical do's and don'ts. My surgery date came, but I had no fear. I was so well prepared by Dr. Mlakar and his staff. My surgery was very successful and I love the results. I also have a little more confidence in myself. I would give Dr. Mlakar a rating of 10 out of 10 for his skill, his bedside manner, his professionalism, and having a competent staff. REVIEW500 The entire process from the very first consultation through my last follow-up appointment has been easy and smooth! I am extremely happy with my results, as well as the pre op/post up instructions and care by Dr Joe and his team. PSI offers both saline and silicone, while the other place I called had only saline (which I didn’t want). Their office also has a software to show you an idea of how it may look after surgery (and you get to see the photos at your consultation). Dr. Joe’s office is friendly and professional, while still making it exciting and fun! If you are even considering any surgery, I would definitely get a consultation scheduled!

Im 45 had 5 pregnancies and have wanted a mommy makeover for years. I met dr Joe over 20 years ago when I had an accident and he was so very kind and caring and concerned and he did an amazing job then. Once I found he was still around practicing that was my first consult. It was mainly with lori and she was the most kind hearted very specific and thorough person the dr Joe came in and he was just the same. So gentle and kind and just so very concerned about what I wanted, what I wanted to look like and what I wanted to do. He thoroughly explained everything showed me 3d pictures of what I could choose from for myself. He performed the surgery on the 15th and I am so very very happy couldn't be more ecstatic about the job he done on my body. My breast augmentation you cannot even see the incisions and the did not hurt after surgery. The tummy tuck was exactly what I wanted after all my pregnancies I was never able to exercise enough to get rid of it or fix the stretch marks. He was able to completely flatten my tummy and get rid of 98 percent of my stretch marks. I am still healing and Mrs Lori and Dr Joe are very good about responding promptly I have never had to wait. Dr Joe is also a perfectionist so he takes his time and does it 100 percent correct to make sure the patient is 100 percent satisfied. I would recommend him number 1 pick. I've never been treated so great and kindly through a doctors office as I did there. They were the bestest ever!

Dr. Joe is an amazing Plastic Surgeon, who takes pride in his work and loves making his clients feel like a million dollars. He takes time to listen and actually visualize what his clients want and also, tells them if he can or can not meet them. His vision is to give his clients even better results than what they dreamed about. The staff are equally amazing, from first consultation to the post surgery days. They make you feel comfortable and treat you like their family. Dr. Joe and his amazing staff gave me the perfect tushy of my dreams. I now have curves and am loving it. Incredible. I cannot say enough great things about my experience with Dr. Joe and his ENTIRE team. April 2024 I had a mastopexy with decrease in size (breast reduction). From my initial consultation, to the post Op care, I’ve felt like a priory to the team and truly believe in their mission “if their patients are happy, they are happy”. I’m still very early in my journey but feel inclined to share my experience and hopefully help others who are considering the procedure.

Dr Joe continues to amaze me with his skill and kindness. I used him for my circumferential life and beast augmentation in April 2022 and for my thigh lift in Sept 5. Pictures speak for themselves.

I was initially unsure of what to expect going into the procedure and rather nervous, but all of the staff was very personable and made me very comfortable with the experience. My nerves were at ease and I am beyond pleased with my recovery and results!

I have always been very insecure about my breast size, just about as long as I have had them (what very little I have had). Combined with four pregnancies, four breastfed babies, and yo-yo weight gain and loss, and my weight finally settling, my boobs were just straight up pathetic. I mean, really really sad, not even cute, A cup. All that said, I can't recommend this practice enough. Lori was fantastic at thoroughly explaining everything in our first consultation. The 3D imaging is amazing! Dr. Joe put me at ease with our first meeting, and I knew for sure A.) I wanted to go forward with the surgery, and B.) I definitely wanted him performing it. On surgery day the staff was fantastic, from my nurse, to my anesthesiologist, to Dr. Joe. I felt at ease and comfortable, and the surgery was quick. Recovery was pretty easy, all things considered. I was afraid it would be painful and tough, but honestly, I was on prescription pain killers for about two days, even then not the full dose. My surgery was on Thursday and by Sunday I was just taking Tylenol. It's hard not to freak out in those first few days; with the swelling and initial positioning (they sit super high and are swollen for the first couple weeks, I PROMISE it gets better!) I was terrified I'd gone too big, what had I done, etc. Now 2 months later, I absolutely LOVE my results! The scarring (or lack thereof) is amazing, and they have settled in at a 36D. Love them! My husband is also a fan, but, hey, ya know... Bottom line, all said and done, I'm thrilled. I even referred a friend to Dr. Joe and she's got her surgery scheduled for a few months from now. If you're on the fence and nervous, just do it! This is the place, so take the leap!
