For years I dreamed of having a nose job because I was not happy with my nose. I felt it was too big for my small self. I had saved up money and decided that I will use it for a nose job. I searched the internet for over a year, reading reviews and examining the before and after photos of many doctors. When I came across Dr Ovchinsky’s website, what I liked most is that he provides many pictures of all different angles of his work. He has so many patient photos, which helped me get a good idea of what to expect as far as the final result. I also liked the fact that he is board certified in both otolaryngology and plastic surgery. When I met with him he listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions. He examined my nose and explained to me what he would do and assured me it would look very natural. His office manager, Stella, was so kind and friendly to me and explained the whole process. I decided to choose him to be my surgeon. Everything was thoroughly explained to me prior to surgery. The first week when the nose cast was on it wasn’t as bad as I anticipated. I took pain meds for the first few days and rested. When I saw him on the follow up visits, he examined my nose thoroughly and always gave me instructions of what to do and what not to do. Now I am almost a year since my surgery, and if I was to do it all over again, I would still choose Dr. Ovchinsky. I am extremely pleased with my new nose. It is smaller and super natural looking. I still look in the mirror in amazement over how my nose looks. Dr. Ovchinsky is a very nice man who has incredible talent and masterful skills. I highly recommend him for anyone considering getting a nose job!
I wanted my nose done for over 15yrs.consulted with several top Drs in NYC but never felt confident enough to book w them.when I met w Dr O in NJ I booked it 2weeks later.when I met with him I instantly knew he was my Doctor, I could tell he was a perfectionist and really cared about his results being perfect. He understood what I wanted before I even showed any pictures that I’d brought with me. he did the digital image himself which was the first time I’d seen the actual doctor do that (rather than a nurse) and they looked exactly as I wanted so I never even showed him pics I found online. Surgery center was clean, I had minimal bruising& and easy recovery. My procedure involved making the whole tip of my nose smaller as well as the nostrils (no breaking of bones or anything). I also had my deviated septum fixed. I was able to be out in public without anyone noticing the same week. My only negative was minor issues with billing- I was told insurance would cover some of the medical stuff but I ended up having to pay it bc insurance didn’t receive the request from the office soon enough and then they denied the claim since they received it AFTER I had the procedure instead of before… which they would have covered had they received it before (it was less than 2k but would have been nice not to have to pay that). I highly recommend Dr Ovchinsky and am very happy with my results a year later! My nose is a smaller cuter version of its original self without looking like I got it done!
I highly recommend Doctor Ovchinsky for rhinoplasty! I had a very good experience with him along with all his staff in his office and in the hospital. I got my nose done less then 2 months ago and I couldn’t be happier… I get nonstop compliments about how natural and beautiful my nose is and it fits my face so perfect. The procedure went smoothly, I had no pain at all and the recovery was very quick.. I was back at at work in 8 days and had minimal bruising! Thank you again for my beautiful nose and I would definitely come back for other procedures in the future!
I recently got a rhinoplasty/septoplasty with Dr. Ovchinsky and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The entire process was perfect. The staff was helpful and nice. If you’re having doubts whether to get this procedure, I can promise you, you will not regret it. I love my natural looking nose and I can breathe better! This is your sign to go for it!As an incentive for posting a review, this reviewer received an entry into RealSelf’s monthly $500 gift card giveaway
Dr. Ovchinsky was amazing! When I was younger, I hurt my nose, which resulted in a deviated septom that appeared to worsen through the years. I was extremely nervous to go through with the septoplasty/ rhinoplasty but felt very comfortable after my consultation with Dr. Ovchinsky. Exactly 6 months after the procedure, I got married and there was no sign of a surgery on our big day! To say that I am happy with the results would be an understatement
Mr. Ovchinsky is an amazing surgeon. He gave me exactly what I asked for and was very supportive throughout my rhinoplasty. He addressed all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a surgeon in the NYC area.
My experience with Dr. Ovchinsky was exceptional. I can not brag enough about him. He is an expert and I am so happy he was able to not only meet my expectation but exceed it. Thank you so much doctor, you changed my life !!!
Dr. Ovchinsky preformed a phenomenal septorhinoplasty on my nose. I was skeptical of any surgeon's ability to give me what I was looking for while making it look as natural and fitting to my face as possible; Dr. Ovchinsky did exactly that. I've only just removed the nose cast this morning and am already astonished at how remarkable the results are even with the swelling. If you are having difficulties finding the right surgeon for your nose requests, I can assure you Dr. Ovchinsky is the doctor for you.
Great experience. Dr. Ovchinsky is very knowledgeable, he listened to all my expectations and completely delivered. First day after surgery was the most challenging but Dr. Ovchinsky and his staff answered all my questions and helped me through. My nose just got better and better everyday and looks gorgeous.
I was very scared to get a rhinoplasty, because that means you have to give a lot of trust to your doctor. I am so grateful that I chose Dr.Ovchinsky, because he made my dream nose come true. I had a very easy and fast recovery. Dr. Ovchinsky is an amazing doctor, and he did a phenomenal job that I will always be thankful for.
Hello, You are absolutely correct in your observations. The end of your septal cartilage is deviated to the right side displacing the columella of the tip to the left side and making it appear asymmetric. This type of septal deviation may also lead to difficulty breathing through the nose. Your nasal dorsum is deviated to the right side and appears wide on frontal view. The nasal tip is slightly bulbous and overprojected (sticks out too far). In order to properly correct all of the above, you would need a septorhinoplasty surgery. These issues with the nose are fairly common and usually result from prior nasal trauma or developmentally. No matter what the cause is, the treatment is the same (surgery). Your next step should be consulting a rhinoplasty specialist to get a full exam and discuss all the surgical details.
In my opinion, non-surgical rhinoplasty is not a good test run for revision rhinoplasty as these are completely different procedures and the results that can be achieved with one versus ano her are completely different. If you are not planning to have revision surgery any time soon then getting a temporary improvement with a filler is a good option. However, I would not do non-surgical rhinoplasty if you are planning a revision surgery within next 6 months or sooner. The filler may obscure surgical landmarks and may potentially impact the results. Removal of the filler, either during surgery of with filler dissolving medications, is not as straightforward as it may seem. Plus you would incur an additional cost for non-surgical rhinoplasty. Hope this helps.
Most commonly used fillers for tear trough areas are Restylane Silk or Belotero, which are thin hyaluronic acid based fillers that don’t attract much water do not to cause a lot of swelling under the eyes. Looking at your photo, you should probably start with 1 syringe (half per side, or maybe even less)- it is always better to be more conservative with tear trough areas. Nasolabial folds usually require “thicker“ fillers which can give patients more augmentation and more filler longevity. Examples of this type of fillers are Restylane Lyft, Radiesse, Voluma. The amount would depend on the depth of the folds, frequently requiring 1ml per side, but occasionally less in mild cases.Botox is not usually used to decrease skin pore size. There are many procedures that can do so, such as chemical or laser peels (which can be adjusted based on skin sensitivity), various radio frequency procedures ResurFx being one example, microdermabrasion, etc
You don’t want to change your nose to fit the glasses. On the contrary, the glasses are usually adjusted to fit the nose. Having said that, dorsal augmentation can absolutely be a part of rhinoplasty surgery if the main goal is cosmetic improvement of the nose. If you think that your bridge is too low and would like to make it higher for cosmetic reasons and not for the reason because opticians told you that it would fit your glasses better, then you should consider it.
Hello. I suggest that if you are really thinking about surgery and long term correction, then don’t do the filler before. The filler obscures the surgical process, it is not always possible to fully remove it as some of the material incorporates into the soft tissues. Plus there is a cost involved with trying a filler... Rather consider doing simulation photos with your selected rhinoplasty surgeon to see to proposed result. However, if the surgery plans are not in the immediate future, then “liquid rhinoplasty” is an option as it actually works quite well in dorsal augmentation.
