One year ago I went to a Dr to have botox just around my eyes. When he injected the botox he was very rough and quick, almost like stabbed the needle in my skin and pulled out. I immediately felt something next to my right eye. There was a lump. I thought it would go away but it is still there one year later. It is sometimes painful and it makes my eye water more.
Answer: Lump after Botox 1 year ago Thank you for your question. Botox injections wear off in approximately 4 months are not permanent. It is possible that the injection needle caused a bruise or hematoma under the skin. My advice is to follow up with your injector or primary care physician. Good luck.

Answer: See a Cosmetic Dermatologist for a Formal Evaluation--lump after Botox/Xeomin/Dysport This is not typical with Botox and difficult to answer without an in-person evaluation. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Lasers and microneedling/prp may give improvement. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Permanent lump unusual Thank you for your question and sorry that you have had such a problem following your treatment. Have you been back to your Doctor to have this reviewed. It is quite unusual. Around the eyes there are several blood vessels and if these are inadvertantly struck by the needle, you can bruise - at the extreme develop a small haematoma. This should really resolve so I would be quite surprised that it has persisted. My only thought here is whether he injected to deep and you have a deeper haematoma that has now granulated. Depending on where he injected, the lacrimal gland sits in the outer corner of the eye and can sometimes protrude downwards. If he was not concentrating and went to close to this area, then h could have inadvertantly struck this which cold cause some scarring also. The final thought is that he damaged a small amount of fat that is present and this fat globule died off (underwent necrosis). This could leave a lump that would eventually dissolve as the body breaks it down. Massaging will help or worst case to have it surgically removed. Best thing would be to go back for the doctor to see the lump I hope this is helpful, BW Rohit Seth Plastic. reconstructive, aesthetic and hair transplant surgery
