Just had my lips done a few hours ago and have a small area on top lip that is a little discolored. Will this resolve on its own? can it resolve with just massage maybe in 2 days by provider? Suggestions for tx without having to go back in?
Answer: Tyndall Effect Thank you for the question. I don't think this is Tyndall. Usually Tyndall is a bluish discoloration caused by injecting a hyaluronic acid too close to the skin. Obviously, your lips are very swollen. This has likely caused a simple change in the vascular pattern causing the whitish discoloration. Not to worry, it should resolve on its own. I hope this helps.

Answer: Lip Augmentation Recovery bre34. I understand your concern, but it appears from your photos that you have normal bruising and swelling after lip augmentation. Elevation and ice is your best option for now, and if you still have concerns after one week, return to your injecting physician. Best of luck.

Answer: Tyndall effect? It's too early to judge this result as final as your swollen. I also believe you do not have the Tyndall effect, but have some tiny bruising.See your injector in 2 to 3 weeks and good luck. Dr. ALDO

Answer: Swelling After Lip Injections Thank you for your question. It is common to have some swelling and bruising after injections to the lips and should resolve in 1-2 weeks. You can ice the treated area to help reduce your swelling and bruising. If this persists after 2 weeks please follow up with your injector. Best of Luck!

Answer: Discolored Lip Post Filler Injections Hi. Since your treatment was recent this is likely swelling and bruising. However, if the discoloration does not fade in a week like a bruise would then you should follow up with your provider. If the issue persists the provider may need to use Hylenex to dissolve a small portion of the filler to reduce the visibility. If this is a bruise you could use Arnica and a cold water washcloth on the area to help speed the recovery process. Hope this information helps!
