Do people use concealers like Toppik or DermMatch while waiting for hair to grow after Neograft procedure?

Thank you for your question. You are far out , and, of course, you can use it but I would recommend to be very careful and utilize all those products as less as possible. You want to keep your scalp healthy for better results in the future. 

Good question. Yes, it is fine to use such products but I would wait at least 4 weeks.  This may be overkill, but you probable spent a lot of money on your head.  Better to be extra safe although I'm unaware that starting earlier will cause problems.

Thank you for your question. You should ultimately follow the recommendation of your board certified facial plastic surgeon. At the 4 month mark, new hair should begin emerging and will continue to grow normally.

Thank you for posting this question. By now the wounds around the implanted grafts will have healed by now, and I allow my patients to start using camouflage products 4 weeks following a hair transplant procedure. I hope this information is helpful to you.

It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.  Most doctors will say using concealers are OK after surgery.

Once you surpass 2 weeks post procedure patients can typically return to their routine hair care regimen. I typically discourage any topical medical regimen for 1 month post procedure.However, once past the 2 week mark damaging the nascent grafts typically require the same degree of invasive trauma that was necessary to place them.Ultimately, the best advice is to follow the recommendations of your board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS) with experience in hair restoration.

You are welcome to use the fibers after the crusts have fallen out which usually takes at most 2 weeks if you are taking good care of your hair. There is no proof they can harm anything but why take a chance?

Hello and thank you for your question about Neograft FUE and concealers. If it has been two weeks since your procedure date, you can begin to style your hair as you normally would. By this time, your transplanted follicles will have healed sufficiently that you most likely not harm them with your normal haircare routine. Treat your procedure area as you would any other hair on your head. I tell my patients to avoid dyes and concealers during the first month postop. So you should be more than fine at this point.
