I have a wedding to attend in two days, currently on day 6 of recovery from 2700 neograft fue procedure. Everything seems to be healing nicely. I want my hair stylist on day 8 to cut the sides and blend my existing hair so it looks more normal and less like a bowl cut lol. Is it ok to have him do so if he is careful not to touch or disrupt the grafts? Is it better for him to use a clipper or scissors? Thank you in advance for your advice!

Answer: Hair Cut after FUE Transplant Thank you for your question. I would recommend holding off on that trim so early into your recovery. I would speak to your doctor regarding your post operative instructions. There are other activities that should be limited during your first 2-3 weeks.

Answer: Blending Existing Hair After FUE Transplant #seattlehairtransplant We have had patients do exactly what you are planning on doing, and they haven't experienced any issues. Blending your existing hair with the shaven donor site and sides should be just fine. The key, as you've mentioned, is you don't want your hair stylist to touch or damage the transplanted follicular units. Also, at 8 days post transplant I would still be very gentle with washing your scalp, as you don't want to damage the transplanted hairs. Thanks for sharing!
