I've heard a lot of good feedback regarding Neograft for FUE procedures moving scalp hair; however, I was wondering if Neograft can also be used to move body hair from a man's beard or chest to his scalp, or is it only used for scalp hair?

Answer: Neograft is one of many machines that harvest hairs with the Follicular Unit Excision method. Neograft is one of many machines that harvest hairs with the Follicular Unit Excision method. It is not unique in that sense. Body hair FUE has more to do with the skill or expertise of the doctor (not the machine).

Answer: Different hairs different destinations While, technically speaking, hair from any part of the body can be transferred. The best results are obtained by replacing "like" with "like." This means that restoring scalp losses with scalp hair is preferred to other donor sources. Similarly, replacing body/facial hair with body/facial hair will yield the best results. The inherent differences in the hairs from different sources (thickness and quality) make them better or worse suited for particular areas. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS) with experience in hair restoration.
