Can You use Minoxidil/Rogaine with a concealer like Dermatch? 3 months post NeoGraft FUE procedure.

Question

I’m on month 3 after my Neograft fue procedure of 3000 grafts and I was wondering while waiting for the hair to grow and can I use the concealer like dermmatch or couvre? I am on Propecia and using Minoxidil foam twice a day as well. Just wanted to know if the concealer would be a good idea while waiting for hairs to grow in?

At 3 months post op, your grafts have firmly taken root. You should soon see new regrowth. Additionally, you can return to your normal haircare regimen including medical therapy and concealers.As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS) with experience in hair restoration.

Thank you for your question. Yes, some surgeons recommend Minoxidil, Propecia or Finasteride as a supplement depending on the patient's treatment plan. I suggest that you discuss with your board certified facial plastic surgeon.

It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.  Most doctors will say using concealers are OK after surgery.

Yes feel free to use them. You are half way to seeing some good results so keep it up and hopefully don’t buy too much of a supply as you might not need the concealers soon!
