Is it safe to have a rhinoplasty done years after tear trough implants?

I do not think that your implants would move simply from rhinoplasty related swelling. If your Rhinoplasty surgery would require lateral osteotomies, it is conceivable that if your implants are placed very close to the side walls of your nose that they could become moved. You should be able to have a rhinoplasty with little risk to the tear trough implants . I’ve never bought into tear trough stuff. Worse comes to worse the implants could be removed if the rhinoplasty causes a problem.

Hi, this is a unique situation as tear trough implants are not too common, and having a rhinoplasty after one is even less common. So most answers to this will be theoretical based on what we know about tear trough implants and what is involved in rhinoplasty. Although there is a chance that the implant can move while working in the outer parts of the nasal bones (regardless if it's ultrasonic or osteotomy), the chance is pretty low with meticulous technique. When when working in this area, I routinely elevate the soft tissues from the bone to reduce soft tissue injury, thus reducing swelling and bruising ... this should also act to avoid interfering with the implant. All in all, yes it is possible to do a rhino with minimal chance of tear trough implant displacement. One important note. Choose your rhinoplasty surgeon based on their ability to do rhinoplasty .... their attention to details, your desires, and their results.... not if they have previously done a case with implants in place.Good luck!

Performing a rhinoplasty should not affect your teardrop implants one bit. It is totally safe to go the procedure. Very important to pick your rhinoplasty specialist widely based on extensive experience

It could possibly move the implants if lots of lateral bony work is performed. If not, the likelihood of an issue would be quite low.

I suppose, it depends on what type of rhinoplasty you were having done I suggest having multiple in person consultations with plastic surgeons who have extensive rhinoplasty experience.
