Thank you for your question. Generally chin liposuction is a short procedure that takes around 30 minutes. Bruising and swelling are common, but these effects resolve in a short time, you will go home with a compression garment, which you will be required to wear for a week. Do have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, who will discuss this procedure with you, All the best
Thank you for your question. Chin liposuction usually takes an hour or two to perform. In my office, we use the Awake lipo technique, which is done using local anesthesia. This reduces the time you need to spend in our office after your treatment. Awake lipo begins with an injection of tumescent fluid into the treatment area, which loosens fat cells and makes them easier to remove. The technique involves less trauma to surrounding tissue, shortening your recovery time in many cases. Once the tumescent fluid is injected, tiny cannulas are inserted to gently suction away the unwanted fat. The incisions required for the cannulas do not require sutures and rarely leave visible scarring behind. Chin liposuction offers dramatic, long-lasting contouring of the jawline in the right patient. Make sure your doctor is both board certified and experienced in this procedure to ensure an optimal outcome.
Performing liposuction under the chin is normally a fairly short procedure. I would say it could be done in half an hour or less.
Simple liposuction of the chin only takes approximately 30 minutes, but more importantly is to determine where the fatty deposits are located in the neck. There are fat deposits located above and below the platysma muscle of the neck. A surgical neck lift is required to remove fatty deposits underneath the the muscle in addition to performing a platysma-plasty to significantly improve the jawline. Liposuction only removes fat deposits above the platysma muscle. A full set of facial photographs and an in-person examination are required to make a determination about how best to proceed.
Thank you for your questions. Patients are generally in my office for about 90 minutes. The actual procedure takes about 30-45 minutes. If you are considering this procedure, seek out a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to perform the surgery.

Janet liposuction is a fairly straightforward procedure. I do these routinely in the office using a local anesthesia. Patients typically spend an hour in the office and the actual procedure takes about half an hour. If you’re contemplating having this procedure then I suggest having an accurate assessment done first. The majority of people seeking fat removal from their chin have a mandible that is small and lacks projection compared to their midface. It’s important to understand the ideology of why you we look the way we do. It’s generally not primarily related to excess fat like people think. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
Chin liposuction is a relatively quick procedure. It is usually scheduled for 30 to 45 minutes when done under general anesthesia, and 1 hour when done under local.
