I am not overweight but am really bothered by how asymmetrical the underneath of my chin fat is. I have a completely different shape on either side. I have read maybe it's a problem with the glands? I have been overweight before and had a very round face so this is the first Time I am noticing it. What treatment can I get???? Help! I am only 32. I can feel my jawline on one side and not the other!
Answer: Morpheus8 can target the small amount of unwanted fat to help provide an even and slimmer look Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Chin Liposuction Might be Good Option for You Thank you for your question and photos. If this is a relatively new development, I recommend you see an otolaryngologist first to rule out a medical reason for the projection. If it is not due to a condition, you can likely treat the area using chin liposuction. This procedure uses a small cannula to suction away submental fat under the chin to create a smoother jawline. In your case, it could remove the fat on one side to produce a symmetrical contour as well. Make sure the plastic surgeon you choose is both board-certified and experienced in this procedure to ensure an optimal outcome.

Answer: Chin Contouring with VASER, ThermiRF, Coolsculpting, Kybella, Thermage, Ultherapy, Exilis, J plasma/Renuvion/Inmode BodyTite I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates, but Kybella can be used as an alternative and gets better results when combined with Thermage/Ultherapy/Exilis or Coolsculpting. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Double chin on one side I would recommend being examined by a physician to try and determine what is causing the fullness you see on one side under your chin. This would more likely be due to something other than excess fat. I would recommend seeing an ENT (Head and Neck) doctor.

Answer: Chin fat deposits/double chin Chin liposuction is an excellent option for contouring the neck and submental skin and can be performed in selected younger patients in the office under local anesthesia with minimal downtime. Ideally, patient's with excellent skin elasticity and minimal bunching/jowling of skin do best with submental liposuction. Other options include selectively lipolysis using injected medications such as Kybella or Cool Sculpting. It seems like these may be excellent options for you and be sure to discuss this in consultation with a specialist and a careful head and neck examination. Best of luck to you!
