Dr. Gary Linkov is the medical director and founder of City Facial Plastics in New York City. Over nearly a decade of practice as a facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Linkov has become an expert on hair restoration, rhinoplasty, and lip enhancement. Patients seek out Dr. Linkov for his skill, attention to detail, and cutting-edge techniques. They also value his honest approach to plastic surgery.
“I don't sell anyone on anything,” says Dr. Linkov. “Instead, I lay out the pros and cons and let my patients decide what makes the most sense for them. I care for my patients as if they were family. No one will care more about their reasons for wanting surgery, their concerns about surgery, and their postoperative course as much as I will.”
Dr. Linkov received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. During medical school, Dr. Linkov received funding to conduct advanced head and neck cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, ranked as the best hospital for cancer care for the past 25 years by U.S. News & World Report. He also ran Columbia’s chapter of Smile Train, a nonprofit charitable organization that provides corrective surgery to children with cleft lips and palates.
He completed his residency in Head and Neck Surgery at the Temple Head and Neck Institute in Philadelphia, where he served as chief resident during his final year. Dr. Linkov then went on to finish an American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he served as a clinical instructor. During this time, he also ran a facial plastic surgery service at the St. Louis Veteran Affairs Hospital, where he was honored to perform reconstructive facial surgery on veterans in need.
Since then, Dr. Linkov has undergone advanced training in the latest hair transplant technology, working with the Foundation for Hair Restoration as a hair transplant surgeon. He also served as the director of the Women’s Center for Hair Loss in New York City.
Dr. Linkov is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and currently a member of both the New York Facial Plastic Surgery Society and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is proud to be an adjunct assistant professor at New York University.
