I am pre-diabetic so am I a candidate for this surgery? I really miss my self and need to know if I am being realistic with my goals for my physical look. I want a flat and tight stomach with an hourglass shape. I would also like for my breast to no longer look like the ears on Droopy dog. I'm 43 years old with 2 small children and I am not having any more children. I have been through a lot with my health(colon cancer survivor) and I just want to feel better about myself again.
Answer: Candidate You appear to be a good candidate for a Mommy Makeover. You should discuss your desires for surgery with your endocrinologist with regards to your pre diabetic status. As long as you receive medical clearance you should be able to proceed with a Mommy Makeover. Be sure to discuss your medical history with your surgeon.

Answer: The Bellesoma Method and Abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement You are an excellent candidate for The Bellesoma Method. This technique will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained. At the same time or later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. After this, I would recommend an abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh is an effective way to give you an hourglass figure.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Diabetes and mommy makeover Being a pre-diabetic is not, by itself, a reason for you not to consider having a mommy makeover procedure. There are many things that contribute to operative risk. I recommend that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who operates in an accredited facility to determine if you are a good candidate for these procedures.

Answer: Mommy Makeover Candidate Thanks for your question congratulations on being a colon cancer survivor. Your overall health is the biggest factor in determining suitability for surgical procedures. Being pre-diabetic does not necessarily exclude you from being a candidate. Treatment for your colon cancer, however, may have an impact. For example - did you have abdominal surgery and have a scar on your tummy? Was there chemotherapy or radiation treatment? Abdominal and breast surgery can be safely combined as part of body contouring makeover. It would be best to see a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive expertise in body contouring surgery and discuss your health history, surgical history, and partner with your surgeon to make a plan that can deliver safe results that meet your goals. Best wishes on getting a great result.

Answer: You should be fine with surgery as long as you control your sugars with diet and exercise You are a great candidate for a mommy makeover. You will need a lot of liposuction, a reduction/lift, and a tummy tuck. I would not do all of these together but you can discuss with your doctor how you want to approach your surgeries. I hope this has helped.
