Surgery is less than 6 weeks away. I have my appointment with my PCP on Monday 12/6 to have a check up and be sure I’m cleared for surgery. I successfully quit smoking a few weeks ago and I’m super proud of myself for that. I’ve been trying really hard to lose some weight before surgery as I know my results will be even better, but I do find it comforting knowing that even at my current weight, my doctor believes I’ll be happy with my results. I am 5’3” and last time I weighed myself (at my consult on 11/1), I was 163lbs. I am working really hard to get down to at least 150 by surgery day. I won’t know what I weigh until Monday when I go see my PCP. If I have not lost weight I’ll be very disappointed… Anyway, my plan is to review everything about my experience. I am having a full tummy tuck, lipo of the flanks and mons are included. I’m also having lipo of my back. I don’t want to have a flat front and lumpy back! I’ll also be having a breast lift with modest augmentation. I don’t want to have huge boobs, just nice and full and perky (I have never in my life has those so I am excited!)… I will update after my appointment with my PCP on Monday.
I know it’s only 12/3/21, but surgery day (1/13/22) will be here so quickly… I’m already nervous…

I cannot wait! I am so excited, anxious, nervous, and totally happy! My husband will be with me and gets to meet my doctor which is good. We will learn about my recovery and what to expect, so that should be interesting. I've also got a list of questions. I need to order my recliner for the first week of my recovery. I've read the ones that help you stand up are awesome to have! I'll also be borrowing Grandaddy's extra walker (he is 93 lol) to help me get around the first few days. I know I get my first set of under garments as part of my package but I'd like to buy some extras so I'll ask about that too....
I've been taking my own before pictures and I am both sad and happy. I've had this body for so long and it's all about to change in 3 weeks... I will be making my next entry exactly 3 weeks from today (the night before surgery) so I can let everyone know how nervous I am then! Lol. I will upload my before pictures then too. That way everyone can really see what I am sating goodbye to! I wonder if my doctor will take pictures in the OR for me afterwards. Some may think it is nasty but I'm so curious what it all looks like after he cuts all the skin off! I'll have to ask him tomorrow ... Until next time!

So I’m sitting in my recliner writing this, feeling pretty good for the first time in a few days. Everyone was right… the first 3-4 days were definitely difficult but I managed to get through it with the pain meds, a lot of rest, and an amazing husband to assist me with everything.
So far today I haven’t needed a pain pill but if I feel like I do at any point I will take one. I had a major operation so I have no shame taking the medication if I need it!
I got to shower yesterday and really see myself for the first time since surgery day… I’ll post a bunch of before pictures and then the ones I took yesterday so everyone can see the difference. It’s pretty impressive and I’m extremely happy with the results even this soon into recovery. I can’t wait to see how the next several weeks go and I believe it will o my get better! I go Wednesday for my one week and hopefully get this annoying drain out! I drained a lot of fluid the first two days or so but my husband only had to empty it once yesterday and so far today there’s barely anything in it. Dr. Farris said if it’s under 30 for 24 hours he will take it out so fingers crossed!
My back and stomach are extremely tense and tight, which makes sense. I had a bunch of lipo on my back and mid section and it has been by far the most painful part of all of this! My boobs have been sore, along with my stomach, but every where he did lipo has hurt bad the last few days. Thankfully today has been much better.
I will update again after my appointment on Wednesday! Hopefully I can get this damn drain out!

So I’m a week and a day out from surgery. I’ve been the my doctor twice now to check on things. He removed my drain after 6 days thankfully… I’m able to do everything on my own (minus the obvious like lifting heavy objects, etc.) so that’s good. My boobs look phenomenal! OMG I know they’re still swollen but I’ve never had perky boobs before so I’m totally in love! I made another collage of a couple of before pics and then what I look like with a sports bra and some pants. I have also never in my life a flat stomach so I almost cried when I saw myself in the pants! For the first time ever I didn’t have to pull them up over my love handles and to my belly button! I could just let them sit on my new waistline and that’s it! I am so happy with how things are coming along and can’t wait to see how things progress over the next week! I’ll keep everyone posted!

Dr. Farris and his whole team are incredible! From the first consult to my first post op appointment they’ve been amazing! They answered every single question I had along the way. He never made me feel like any of my questions were dumb (even though I’m sure some of them were!), he just answered them with a smile. I’m one week and 2 days post op and I’m already so happy with the results and know it’s just going to keep getting better! I am so happy with the decision I made to go with Dr. Farris for my mommy makeover. He’s an artist and I never could’ve imagined my body could look the way it looks now. Can’t thank him and his entire team enough!

Feeling really great actually… doctor said I need to be doing less than I am. My energy levels are back so in my mind I can go about my normal life but physically, I am far from doing any of that! I posted a collage to show from night before to 13 days post. I’ll be in touch in a few weeks to show you more pictures of progress!

I’m finally able to wear spanx instead of that stupid Velcro wrap around binder they give you after surgery… I’ve noticed already in the last week since wear the compression garment I’m starting to see my waistline! I’m so happy! And to think, I’m still puffy and still healing… it’s only going to get better! I posted a before pic and pic from yesterday so you can see the huge difference… cannot even explain how good I’m feeling about the results so far!

Side view… And FYI- blur out my thighs and butt because I share these pictures with my brothers lol… we are close but they don’t particularly want to see my in my panties lol… but if I’m being honest, now that I see how great my results are looking, I’m thinking mya e next year I’ll get some lipo on my thighs (the wonderful saddle bags) and have it put in my butt just to add a bit more shape! Maybe… we will see lol.

Thought I’d jump on and post some updated pictures! I am still loving my results and it’s only getting better with time. My boobs have definitely settled and they are perfect! I am a DD/DDD depending on the bra, which wasn’t necessary my intention, but I’m still totally happy with them. I had 270ccs so they were modest implants. I just had more breast tissue than I thought so now they’re large but perky! They look extremely natural so I love them! My tummy continues to change with each month. I’ve always read that you see your true results at 6-12 months and now I understand why. I did a side by side picture of 3 months post and then 6 months post. You can absolutely see a difference in the way my stomach looks. I’m super happy with everything… my doctor loves the way everything turned out as well. Now I’m thinking about what I wanna do next lol. He advised me to wait a bit and then we can talk. That’s another reason I love him. He’s not rushing to take my money. I had a lot of surgery in January and he wants my body to heal and have time before we go back in! I think a BBL is next though! Hope everyone is doing well and my posts have helped some of you! ????
