Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures over the past 30 years including chin augmentation with a silastic chin implant. Looking at your photos, your chin is weak and there is excess fat below the chin. A weak chin creates facial imbalance making things appear out of balance including: the nose looks larger; the mid face appears to be "top heavy" while the lower face looks shortened (tens to de-emphasizes lip fullness) and early formation of a "double chin" occurs. Liposuction of the fat below the chin combined with placement of a silastic chin implant (provides the necessary forward projection to correct a weak chin) through a small curved incision under the chin, will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face. Using the same incision, any excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed. In my experience, this procedure is very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty. I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone. In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery. Hope this helps.
