It is safe to have chin liposuction after fillers. The fillers were likely placed above the level of the jaw and therefore, they would not be affected by the liposuction procedure. In some cases, fillers can resorb in at little as 6 months. If you feel that you are lacking chin projection, perhaps a better solution would be a combination of chin liposuction and a chin implant. A simple office procedure that can be accomplished simultaneously. Good luck.
Chin or submental liposuction should not interfere with fillers at all. It is a straight forward procedure that I usually perform with local anesthesia. Good luck, Jane
Yes, you can get chin liposuction after fillers. I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates but Kybella can be used as an alternative with or without thermage/ultherapy/exilis or coolsculpting. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Chin liposuction can be performed at any time as long as you're in excellent health and have diet resistant fat. Fillers are not usually placed in the neck, but can be removed with Vitrase or liposuction
It seems contra intuitive if you had fillers in the same area you want to have volume reduction from liposuction.Regardless there is no problem have you liposuction if there are fillers in the same area.If the fillers are hylouronic acid then the fillers can be reversed injecting an enzyme prior to any procedure.Talk to your a board-certified plastic surgeon and he or she will discuss the implications.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
Normally fillers are applied to the front edge of the chin were as liposuction is done under the chin in the upper neck and should not be influenced by its presence. If there is any particular need to remove the filler can be dissolved within hours after an injection. Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures over the past 30 years. Non smiling photos of your face from the front and side would help in the evaluation. Chi liposuction is performed below the chin to reduce excess fat there as well as across the neck. It would be unusual for you to have had a dermal filler placed "below the chin" but if it was some of it would be removed as the fat was removed during liposuction. Reducing the amount of fat below the chin would not significantly effect or correct a weak chin if that exists. When a weak chin is present (which could be determined from a profile photo of your face), it creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face appears top heavy while the lower face looks short, lip fullness is de-emphasized and early formation of a "double chin" occurs. Chin augmentation using a silastic chin implant will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face. I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty. I perform the procedure in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone. Hope this helps.
My opinion based on your pictures the best result with the most minimum down time would be laser liposuction. CoolSculpting won't give you a 25% Improvement out of six treatments. Laser liposuction with one week off and your back dancing.Best Regards,Dr Gartner
Thank you for this wonderful question! You will find that for every Board Certified Plastic Surgeon you consult with, you will most likely have just as many different post-operative recovery routines suggested to you. Both compression as well as lymphatic massage are beneficial following this...
Thanks for the question and the images. Your photos demonstrate that you have pleasing shadowing along your jaw line and only mild laxity of the soft tissue beneath your chin. Additional kybella, or treatments to tighten your skin, such as ultherapy, will only produce subtle changes. If yo...
