Chin lipo after fillers, is that ok?

Hello. Is it OK to have chin liposuction if I had fillers placed there 6 months ago? Fillers are supposed to dissolve after 1 year. Thank you

It is safe to have chin liposuction after fillers. The fillers were likely placed above the level of the jaw and therefore, they would not be affected by the liposuction procedure. In some cases, fillers can resorb in at little as 6 months. If you feel that you are lacking chin projection, perhaps a better solution would be a combination of chin liposuction and a chin implant. A simple office procedure that can be accomplished simultaneously. Good luck.

Chin or submental liposuction should not interfere with fillers at all.  It is a straight forward procedure that I usually perform with local anesthesia.  Good luck, Jane

Yes, you can get chin liposuction after fillers. I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates but Kybella can be used as an alternative with or without thermage/ultherapy/exilis or coolsculpting. Chin liposuction can be performed at any time as long as you're in excellent health and have diet resistant fat. Fillers are not usually placed in the neck, but can be removed with Vitrase  or liposuction

It seems contra intuitive if you had fillers in the same area you want to have volume reduction from liposuction.
Regardless there is no problem have you liposuction if there are fillers in the same area.
If the fillers are hylouronic  acid then the fillers can be reversed injecting an enzyme prior to any procedure.
Talk to your a board-certified plastic surgeon and he or she will discuss the implications.
