Did I ruin my chin lipo?

Question

Hello I'm a 19 year old male and I recently had a chin implant and lipo. I'm naturally skinny everywhere but unfortunately all the fat goes to my face. It's been a month and a half and I'm not gonna lie I've eaten junk food like six times a week. I've gained no weight but my jawline isnt as sharp as the first days when I had the bandage removed. Is it swelling or new fat? Did me eating unhealthily affect my final results?? Thank you

You may have caused fat to reposition.  It maybe good to do a kybella treatment or diet / exercise.  Also, you most likely still have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. To speed up healing, you can try adding venus legacy or exilis radiofrequency treatments.  We will often do a kybella and ultherapy about 4-6 weeks after neck liposuction to improve results. There is a chance that you may have caused some fat redeposition, however, it may also be some residual swelling from post op as you are still within a few weeks. Often times I like to follow up on my patients on whom I perform liposuction with kybella treatments just to polish off whatever residual fat may be there.  Minimally invasive radiofrequency treatment may not be a bad idea either.  I suggest you discuss these options with your doc. This is a good question.  It may be a little difficult without photos.  I specialize in Male Facial surgery.  Every jawline in a man's face needs to be sharp and defined.  This gives the face a masculine edge that is necessary in a male face.  Surgery is one way to accomplish this in any man's face.  I am not sure what procedures were done for the improvement you needed at that time.  Surgical procedures are designed to enhance the face and contour what is needed.  I will be happy to look at photographs and comment.  I hope this helps.  Thank you.

Thanks for the question.  What you are describing (swelling compared to when your bandages were removed) sounds more like swelling than new fat.  The reason I say this is because bandages keep pressure on the skin and prevent fluid accumulation to a large degree, and removing them is almost always accompanied with some degree of swelling.
