I had 1 syringe of restalyn lyft in my cheeks about a month ago. Should I have Restalyn Lyft removed or wait it out?

I appreciate your concern, but what has been done is the unmasking of other trouble aging areas on your face. Now the cheek position is better you can see the hollowing and loss of volume that has occurred in the rest of your face. As aging continues all of these areas will get worse and if you wait too long then you will age faster/worse possibly. I would suggest you sit down and talk to your doctor about how aging has affected your face and how it's been unmasked by only reversing the aging signs in the cheeks.Yes, you might need more filler, but that's up to you. Good luck. Whenever a patient is concerned with the results and thinks that the face looks worse following cosmetic injections, the only sure way of addressing concerns is by doing an in-person follow up and comparing current pictures with pictures obtained before injections. Additionally, for best results I always advocate a whole-face approach and rather than focusing on one area, I often recommend injections in various areas such as cheeks, under eyes, temples, etc. At this time, doing the follow up with your injector and having an accurate objective assessment is your best option. You would need an in-person consultation and evaluation to determine the best course of action for you. In general, if unhappy with the filler then it can be dissolved using Hyaluronidase. It may take a few sessions to fully dissolve. 1 syringe of Restylane Lyft to the cheeks should not cause dramatic changes if done right. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced provider. When you get fillers, you are getting sculpted.  You need an artful injector.  They don't teach art in medical school. If you are not liking the filler service you have had, you will have to wait a very long time for the treatment effect to disappear. These hyaluronic acid filler persist for year.  This means, that unwanted consequences of treatments also persist for years.  Rather than waiting this out, it is better to simply have the product remove with the injection of hyaluronidase.  It is possible as you suggest to have the treatment modified with additional treatment.  However, I often find that even world famous injectors place volume low in the cheek causing the face to look older rather than younger.  This is done to avoid placing product in the under eye circle, which is a very fussy service.  Don't live with an unsatisfactory treatment.  I see 5 to 10 patients a week who have been treated with filler by other doctors who need their old treatment removed as a first step to getting what they need.

Thank you for your question. Restylane Lyft, when injected in the cheeks can last up to a year. Having one syringe split between each side is a very small amount and should dissipate on its own relatively easily. If you are unhappy with your results it is best to follow up with your provider.

Thank you for your question. I would contact your injector to discuss your concerns. Every injector, even the best, will have results that could benefit from some correction or tweak. If after reaching out with them you still feel concerned then a second opinion in person is best. Resylane lyft does not have a very long duration so you can wait it out, but I am sure your injector would like the opportunity to address your concerns. 

I would recommend meeting with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns. There may be options to help balance the filler that you already had to help alleviate your bothersome areas. It may also be a “wait it out” scenario since all the fillers will eventually go away.

If you don't like the way it it makes your cheeks look, you can consider having it dissolved with hyaluronidase.  However, since there is some positive effect from it, maybe let it be and slowly dissolve on its own.  Also consider adding a bit more filler to the temples and eyes to balance the fullness for a more natural look.  Finally, I would think about a skin tightening procedure such as Exilis Ultra, Ultherpy or Skin Tyte to achieve better long term results.  Lower cheek hollowing may be a good place for Sculptra injections.
