I received Restylane Lyft in cheeks 2 full days ago. I noticed a hard lump had formed, got nervous and rubbed it out ONE time (30 seconds). Now I'm all nervous that I've displaced the filler due to the area feeling tender/more swollen (from me touching it). Is this possible or am I just freaking out over nothing?

Answer: Lumps with Restylane for Cheeks--wait 2 weeks, reverse with hyaluronidase This is difficult to answer without an in-person evaluation. If you're concerned, I recommend following up with your injector. There can be some swelling, tenderness and/or lumps after injections, which can last 1-2 weeks. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Massage after Restylane Lyft A single massage after Restylane Lyft should not be sufficient to displace the product. Typically, the product is placed deep and would not be moved or altered with minimal massage. It is best to follow up with your provider to address your concerns. You may have a small area of bruising that feels like a lump. If so, this should resolve with time, but your provider can perform an evaluation to determine the exact cause.
