Can my breast look and feel natural after a 200cc low profile implant?

Thank you for your question and the answer is you can get a natural look and feel with today's silicone implants.Partial submuscular placement of silicone gel implants yield a very natural look. The muscle covers the upper 50-60% of the implant making the transition in the upper chest soft and essentially turning a round smooth implant into more of an anatomic or tear drop shape. How full the upper pole is can be modified by increasing the projection of the implant. It is very difficult without seeing you in person to know if the implant size you mentioned is appropriate for you. Also, implant size selection depends on your unique measurements. Lastly, the choice of implant size is also a matter of taste. There are different types of implants to choose from. Silicone feels and looks more natural than saline, which sounds like it might be the better choice for you. It is recommended that you come in for a consultation where you can see and feel the different types of implants and have all of your questions answered. We have a device called the Vectra 3D imaging system that shows you what you will look like with any implant. Our patients are very happy with the choice of implant they make when using this system.

I would not focus on the actual numbers, I
would focus more on the results you are looking for and whether or not your
doctor can achieve those results.  One
way to do this is to look at the doctor’s before and after photos and find
photos that are similar to your build. 
Then, look for results that look similar to what you want.  I hope this helps. 

It is very difficult to determine the best lift you will need (recommended based on your photos) or the exact size and shape implant you will require to best match your ideal breast image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation surgery including different approaches, techniques and implant choices. This is because several measurements not to mention your breast characteristics are needed to determine the optimal implant size to obtain your goals. Without knowing these dimensions it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the existing base width of your breast will determine, in many cases, the maximal volume per implant profile that you can accommodate. To illustrate; a 100 cc difference may make a significant difference with a narrow base width breast, but much less of a difference if you have a wide chest wall and wide breast “foot print”. Therefore, just because your friend may have a great result with let’s say a 300 cc implant to make her go from a “A” cup to a “C” cup size does not mean that you will have the same result with the same size implant. The same process goes for just filling in the upper part of your breast without becoming much larger. Further simply placing implants in a bra to determine the size best for you is not always accurate as the bra often distorts the size, is dependent on the pressure the bra places plus the implant is outside your breast and not under it among other variables. Computer software morphing programs that automatically determine the best implant size can be helpful in some but not all cases (e.g. doesn’t work well in my experience with existing implants, sagging or asymmetric breasts). Breast implants come in many sizes and shapes. Don's get stuck on a numerical size without seeing the different options in texture, width, and projection. Most plastic surgery offices have sizers that one can demo which when coupled with the surgeon expertise and evaluation, are used to help determine the optimal size, shape, and consistency for each patient.

best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  Pictures and breast measurements would be very helpful.  The size, profile, and shape of
the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall
measurements, and soft tissue quality.  This decision should
be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you
and your surgeon.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who
can evaluate you in person.

I would look at it in a different manner.  Obviously you have a desired look that you are trying to achieve.  Everyone's body is different, and one type of implant or cc may work great for one person, it may be a total waste and the wrong selection for another.I would approach it in  manner that you relay the look you are going for to your plastic surgeon.  Don't focus so much on the cc's or the profile, just the look.  This can be by bringing photos into your preoperative visit that show what you would like to try to achieve.  At that point you will get sized with designed sizers to give you the look you are trying to achieve.  This helps more than anything else, because it is on you not on someone else or an image.You should start off by visiting with a board certified plastic surgeon that performs  great deal of breast surgeries.Hope that helps.

It is best to have an in-office evaluation to determine if 200cc low profile implants are appropriate for your current breast size and dimensions while also achieving your goal size. You can also ask to feel some sample implants so you can get an idea of how the breasts can feel in your hands. Generally speaking, implants placed under the muscle can feel more natural because it lifts more of your own natural body tissue over the implant, reducing the overall feel of the implant. Good morning! Choosing a smaller implant is just as important a decision as choosing a larger size. You have to do what's best for you. I typically tell my patients that 150cc is a cup size BUT by placing an implant underneath the muscle, it tends to look about 1/3 smaller than if it were placed on top of the muscle. In your case, a 200cc implant under the muscle should put you just at a cup size bigger. Implants tend to feel like aliens in our bodies for the first 3 months as we adjust to them, but once our minds adjust, it's hard to imagine life before them! I am a fan of low profile implants, I believe they are natural looking and give my patients the cleavage they desire without the stuck on appearance of higher profile implants. However, I would not counsel you on a particular size or profile without first meeting you and taking your measurements. I base my decisions on what you want and what is reasonable for your body type. Regardless of whom you choose, please make sure he/she is a board certified plastic surgeon!
