Answer: Follow-up Question: Should I be worried? Flat spot! Thank you for your question and photograph. After placement of implants, the overall appearance of the breasts will change dramatically over the next several months, as the implants drop, and the overlying tissue stretches to accommodate the extra volume. I know waiting is difficult, but judge your results at 4-6 months after surgery as most of your breast changes should have occurred by then. Hope this helps.

Answer: Flat spot after breast augmentation You should see your doctor in person to get an opinion. An hour drive should not be a factor when you are considering your post-surgical outcome. There is little that can be appreciated from the photo, and we have no idea how your breast looked before surgery. You should continue to follow up with your doctor to ensure you progress as planned.

Answer: Flat Spot after BA Congratulations on your breast augmentation, Lalatoyab4! Areas of tightness and increased inflammation, causing flat spots may certainly occur in the early post-operative period of breast augmentation, as the body enters various phases of the healing process. There are many contributing factors to this occurance -- some normal and expected, some not-so-normal but not wholly unexpected, and not normal or expected. Just because you are experiencing this phenomenon does not mean that you will develop a CC, but it may mean that you are at a higher risk. There are various conservative or medical treatments that may help resolve this issue and reduce resultant tightening or constriction. You do need to keep in mind that large and more projecting implant does put more stress on the tissues. Also, it is typical for the implant to post-operatively settle more readily into the larger, looser breast, as opposed to the smaller and more compact breast. Even though you live quite a distance from your surgeon and do not have an appointment for two weeks, I would strongly encourage you to contact him/her with these new changes and concerns. Your surgeon is in the best position to determine the significance of these changes and to make the best recommendations to help optimize your results. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Follow-up Question: Should I be worried? Flat spot! Might be easy capsular fibrosis? But only in person examinations would allow a definitive diagnosis to be made. Must see your surgeon sooner or seek in person paid second opinions from private practice boarded PSs in Tampa.
