I enjoy helping moms get their bodies back through mommy makeover surgery. A mommy makeover involves a series of procedures on the breasts and tummy, most often performed in one operation. At my Hobart and Munster area plastic surgery practice, we typically perform some combination of a breast lift, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, and liposuction, but the surgical plan is tailored to each patient’s needs. Breast Surgery

Breast enhancement patients come to my practice with a variety of requests. Sometimes they want larger breasts, sometimes they want their breasts to look as they were before kids or weight loss, and sometimes they want both. We offer all the major brands of breast implants, including Mentor, Sientra, and Inamed, and often welcome referred patients who are unhappy with their breasts after breast surgery elsewhere. It’s important for patients to discuss the surgery and get their questions answered by the person conducting the procedure. That’s why breast augmentation patients meet with me directly—not a patient coordinator—to learn what to expect. I will help you see the difference 50 or 100 ccs can make in your final appearance and offer guidance on what type of breast implant is best for you. Abdominoplasty

After significant weight change, either loss or gain, many people have trouble getting rid of the excess skin and fat around their stomach. It’s an especially common concern after pregnancy, and sagging skin and stretched abdominal muscles can’t be fixed through diet and exercise. That’s why tummy tucks (“stomach tightening”) are among my favorite procedures. It’s a thrill giving patients back the body of their youth. Often tummy tucks are combined with liposuction and/or breast lifts for a full mommy makeover. It’s important to remember that tummy tucks aren’t a weight-loss surgery—the procedure only targets the skin and fat around your midsection. Post-op, you’ll typically have a drain in for about two weeks to help with the healing process. However, I’m now offering a drain-free alternative that will allow you to get back to your routine much sooner.
