When I lose weight could that “shrink” my areola? I'm 5’6”, 20 years old. I was 150 in 2017 now I’m 210 (I was 215 in September). I did gain a lot of weight and am on my weight loss “journey” now. I am considering getting maybe a lift? (If needed) and some sort of areola reduction. This will be after my weight loss. Any tips or advice would really help. Thank you so much!
Answer: Breasts No, your areolae will not shrink once stretched, Once you reach your weight loss goal, then consider getting a lift. the areolae can be made smaller if you want.

Answer: Are my areola too big for my breasts and do I need a breast lift? Thanks for your question. You would definitely benefit from a breast lift, which reduces the skin envelope while reshaping the breast tissue into a more youthful and perky shape. You definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. A key quality indicator is Board Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.

Answer: Breast lift to reshape your breasts Once you’ve reached your ideal stable weight, a breast lift may help reshape your breasts to make them perkier. At the same time, an areola reduction can be performed to make your overall look more proportionate. While it’s difficult to predict how weight loss will affect your breast appearance, chances are it may not decrease the size of your areolae.

Answer: Are my areola too big for my breasts and do I need a breast lift? You are wise in achieving your long-term stable weight, prior to evaluating breast/areola size, and determining whether or not to proceed with any type of breast surgery. Having said that, based on your photographs and planned weight loss, breast lifitng (plus/minus augmentation) will likely be an operation to consider down the line.My best advice: when the time is right, select your plastic surgeon carefully. Make sure that he/she has significant experience achieving the types of outcomes you will be pleased with. Then, communicate your goals carefully, as well. Best to use visual aids such as goal photographs, not a discussion of cup sizes, during the communication process. Working together you will come up with a good plan to achieve your goals. Best wishes.
