When I lose weight could that “shrink” my areola? I'm 5’6”, 20 years old. I was 150 in 2017 now I’m 210 (I was 215 in September). I did gain a lot of weight and am on my weight loss “journey” now. I am considering getting maybe a lift? (If needed) and some sort of areola reduction. This will be after my weight loss. Any tips or advice would really help. Thank you so much!

Answer: Areola size and breast lift The size of your areola won't change significantly with weight loss. You are a candidate for a breast lift and during that procedure the areolar size can be adjusted to a diameter that's more youthful and appropriate for your breasts. Achieving your goal weight prior to surgery would be ideal, as weight changes after surgery can affect the long-term result of any body contouring procedure.

Answer: The Bellesoma No Vertical Scar Lift You need a breast lift and the technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. At the same time, the areolas can be reduced to the size desired. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
