Rhinoplasty: Will my new smaller nose fit my round face? Will it look good? (Photo)

Question

i have a wide tip that dropps when i smile with a tiny hump. i want the same nose shape, just smaller. Will it look strange and odd when it's a little thinner and smaller on my round face? sometimes when im far away it looks my old nose looks small, but far away it looks big. I don't know if my new nose will make me look like Michael Jackson haha.

A good rhinoplasty surgeon would certainly not let your nose look like Michael Jackson (a common fear). Instead, he/she would simply improve it while keeping it in proportion with the rest of your face. Taking the bump down and improving the tip support to resist drooping would look great and very natural at the same time.

A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish narrowing the wide nose, shaving down the dorsal hump, narrowing the tip, narrowing the bridge and narrowing the nostrils. Look for a very experienced rhinoplasty surgeon for best results. It is very important to make sure all the components of the nose balance with them selves, and the new nose balances with your facial features.

The goal of rhinoplasty surgery is for a nose that suits your facial features while appearing completely natural.  You should be able to reduce and refine your nose, making it smaller and thinner.  In addition, you would benefit from a chin implant.  If you place your finger from your lips straight down, your chin should almost touch your finger.  Yours is behind.  Having a chin implant will project the chin forward to better balance the lower half of your face.   When your chin is small, it will make the nose appear larger.  A chin implant and rhinoplasty will help balance  your facial features.

A properly done rhinoplasty should do what you want in terms of facial balance. Then nose should not look unduly out of character.The bridge should be straight the tip elevated, reduced and narrowedFurther you should consider a chin implant and that is what is out of balance in your face. Your chin is quite receded and is the first thing that I noticed: not your nose.
