We can see that you have a concavity along the left side wall of your nose. Feeling this may be considered for achieving a straighter nasal appearance. In our practice we prefer to use microdroplet Silikon 1000 which is permanent, and not associated with necrosis blindness stroke embolism or biofilm. Thank you. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Facial fillers (like Voluma, Restylane, Juvederm) can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose, but surgery would be needed to improve nostrils or overall shape. Best to see an expert. - Dr. Emer
Hello and thank you for your question. It appears that your nose is deviated with some asymmetry. You may benefit from filler injection, but this is only temporary and will require continuous re-treatment. Also, with each injection, there is a risk of arterial occlusion, ischemia, and other complications, more so than normally, because your nasal anatomy, and thus the vasculature, is likely distorted. If you want a permanent fix, I would suggest finding the right aesthetic plastic surgeon to evaluate you for a rhinoplasty. In your rhinoplasty consultation, be sure your surgeon addresses all your aesthetic goals and concerns specifically, and discusses the surgery details including the position and size of the incisions used (with actual photographs and not just digital animations), the risks and benefits of the procedure, recovery time, and post-operative course. Also, be sure to see plenty of before-and-after pictures in men who have a similar nose appearance to yours, and preferably at different time frames (3 weeks out, 3 months out, etc) to more accurately predict your own surgical outcome. After seeking out a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery, I think the most important component of the consultation is to establish a good connection with your plastic surgeon. It’s the connection that allows you to clearly define your desired nose outcome goals, the first step of this whole process. If you don’t feel you have a good connection with your plastic surgeon after your consultation, he/she may not be the best surgeon for you. Dear netmek,Yes, filler can be used to correct the asymmetry you have, although surgery will give you a permanent and longer lasting result. I would recommend consulting someone with a great deal of understanding of facial anatomy. The reason is that the injection will be off midline, and thus carries higher risk.Good luck,Nirmal R. QUICK ANSWER: Yes, you can use fillers (e.g., Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse) to create the "illusion" of a less crooked nose by filling in depressions/concavities. LONG ANSWER: Generally speaking, nonsurgical rhinoplasty is best suited for mild to moderate defects of the nose (i.e., mild hump reduction, mild asymmetry or crooked nose, etc.). In an asymmetry such as yours, I would almost guarantee that in addition to your nasal bones being deviated, you likely have a deviated septum and a collapsed internal nasal valve as well. With that being said, the best option for you would likely be a surgical rhinoplasty to correct both the functional and cosmetic defects of the nose.Take home point: do your research when deciding what type of doctor to visit for consultation. In my opinion, a surgeon trained in both functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, who also performs nonsurgical rhinoplasty using filler, would be the best bet for you to receive and unbiased and expert opinion regarding your nose.Hope this helps!Blake Raggio, MD
Hello Netmek. The answer is no, you need a reconstruction by a Full Nose Job. Even your pictures are not good enough to see your hole nose, it looks as it is needed to refracture, to obtain symmetry in your piramid. Of course with a close osteotomy.28 year experienceAmerican Society of Plastic SurgeonsInternational Society of Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryInternational Society of Plastic Aesthetic and Reconstructive SurgeryDominican Society of Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeryBoard Certified
The photograph which is rather limited demonstrates a crooked nose which includes the nasal bones Crooked and convex to the left side and a concave upper- lateral cartilage on the right side. A surgical closed rhinoplasty can accomplish strengthening the nasal bones and adding cartilage graft to the concave side to straighten the entire nose on a permanent basis. Closed rhinoplasty would involve make all incisions placed on the inside of the nose. Fillers are only temporary.
The picture doesn't show the whole nose, but of course of course it can be treated with fillers. This areas is one of the best uses for nasal injection...... I've been doing it for 15 years in noses like yours. Average duration of the treatment is 2 years which is good for an injectable filler. Use only HA products like restylane (my favorite). Just btw, plastic surgeons make lots more money doing surgery than fillers......just sayin'
We have helped people to achieve a straighter initial appearance along with dorsal augmentation after a previous Gore-Tex dorsal implant. Best to choose a physician who is familiar with the use of nasal fillers. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
Based on your photo, you appear to have a wide nasal appearance with a visible irregularity on the Bridge of your nose. In general, adding fillers to the nose may not lead to a narrower nasal appearance. I hope this is helpful. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
Of the many fillers on the market Restylane is known to maintain form better than other fillers on the market. Juvederm is also recommended but falls short of Restylane's performance. The results will last 12 to 18 months, but repeat treatments can last longer.
