Can I have a rhinoplasty that would take me from a straight dorsum to a concave dorsum while having my nasal tip lifted? (Photo)

You can certainly take down some of the nasal bridge and project the tip more to give a sloped appearance. However, it is important to keep a natural appearance and not overdo things. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.

The 1970s style of making noses very concave has been put behind us largely, since it can cause breathing issues and abnormal shape over time.  Without an exam, it will not be possible to fully evaluate you and give you recommendations. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed
by your surgeon and not just a computer animation system.

A concave or scooped dorsum is possible. While it may not be ideal for most patients, if that is your goal it can be achieved using any approach (closed or open)

I would not recommend making your nose so retroussé.  It may lead to other issues in the from view like inverted v deformity and may affect your breathing. If you want a slight retroussé nose, that can be accomplished.

What you are referring to is known as a 'Barbie nose'. In this type of nose the nasal bridge is low compared to the nasal tip and the frontonasal junction.This can be done in a rhinoplasty surgery. The tip of the nose will look more upturned even if it isn't changed that way. For the preservation of nasal breathing, it is best to not overdo the dorsal reduction and do some tip rotation with it.. It creates the same effect but has less risk of causing breathing difficulties later.

 Anything's possible, but that type of nose will not look natural. It will look like your surgeon created a bird beak. A very subtle concave dorsum would be more natural appearance. Digital computer imaging of your nose upon your facial features would be helpful  at the time  of the examination to make a determination about the best type of nose to fit your facial features

While it may be possible to “scoop” the dorsum and give you the look you desire, a thorough exam of all your facial features is necessary to determine the best surgical plan. Without real photos, one cannot tell. However, go see a board certified plastic surgeon to find out. Best,

Yes, you can get a dorsal scoop. The tip will appear lifted and you will have the contour you want. All this can be done via a closed approach -- you dont need any external scarring.
