Pus-like mucus and blood in nose 2 weeks post-rhinoplasty (Photo)

Question

Hello, I had a rhinoseptoplasty performed 2 weeks ago. I had the splint and stents removed 1 week ago, which initially helped alleviate my trouble breathing through my nose; however, in the past couple days I have had quite a bit of pus-like mucus accumulating at the top of the tips of my nose. I am not sure if this is normal or if there could be an internal infection. I apologize for the poor quality of the attached pictures. Thank you so very much in advance!

Hello. This is totally normal. You may have to go back to your rhinoplasty specialist and have your airway examined and suctioned. This type of material often accumulates in the weeks after a nasal procedure is done.

You definitely should be examined in person by your surgeon.  Don't rely on advice from strangers on the internet.  You have called your surgeon, right?
