I had a horrible experience with a donut lift and a dr who had his PA perform part of the treatment. One side was left huge and with no permanent suture, while the other stayed small but uneven with a permanent suture. The dr revised the side that was huge, but now it is 1 cm smaller in diameter than the other side and the nipple is slightly higher. Can the side that was never revised have the permanent suture taken out and be revised?
Answer: Revision possible You can absolutely choose to have your breast revised. Talk with your current surgeon to avoid unnecessary cost. If he/she does not want to revises, I recommend seeking out a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to fix your breasts. If you would like to be seen for a consultation, feel free to reach out to my office. Smith Plastic Surgery 702-838-2455

Answer: Areola The permanent suture can be cut out and the areola can be revised. It is easier to make them smaller than larger.

Answer: Donut lift revision Thank you for the question. A physical exam and assessment of your tissues is necessary to definitively answer this question, but generally speaking: yes. The side that was not revised can likely have the permanent suture removed and be revised as well. There are many variables that can affect symmetry between the sides, and following a revision on one side you may need to allow some time to see how it heals to allow the tissues to heal and "settle." I recommend returning to see your surgeon for a full discussion of your options as they best know your history and situation.

Answer: MMinor donut lift revision Dear mm3789, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is possible to do revision surgery if there is suture inside. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
