The side that was not revised can likely have the permanent suture removed and be revised as well. There are many variables that can affect symmetry between the sides, and following a revision on one side you may need to allow some time to see how it heals to allow the tissues to heal and "settle." The purpose of the permanent suture is to prevent widening of the nipple areola complex.
