I had a lip lift that was sutured perfectly, I think they call it deep plane, sutures on the inside and out, and it healed without any scar. Is that possible with skin removal (abdominoplasty) and arm lift and breast lift? As I need all of that. Can the surgeon pay more attention, put more sutures than usual, to minimize the scaring? And if so, which surgeon does it?
Answer: Sutured with care Of course your surgeon can choose to take extra care in suturing your incisions for minimal scarring. Just keep in mind, if you have large areas such as arms or abdomen, and have to have extensive skin & fat removal, that the suturing may have to be more sturdy than nice for wound integrity at the time of your surgery but scars can always be revisited if necessary. Obviously the surgeon would get your incisions as close to wonderful as possible but there’s always the possibility they have to put your safety and results first. My recommendation is to seek out a board certified surgeon and tell them what you are wanting and where. They’ll be able to tell you if they can achieve it. If you would like to be seen by my office, here at Smith Plastic Surgery, feel free to reach out to my office to arrange consultation. 702-838-2455

Answer: Scarring Favorable scar healing has many influences including genetic components, type of scar (surgical versus traumatic), location of scar, tension on a scar, and surgical technique. In addition there are many scar treatments available to promote favorable scar healing. I encourage you to research board certified plastic surgeons near you and review before/after photos. Each of the procedures you mentioned will involve scars, but they can be very acceptable for the majority of patients.

Answer: Scars For the abdomen and breast lift, excess skin is removed so scars will be present. However, the sutures can all be done inside in most women to help minimize the scarring. Once healed, micro-needling can be done to help the scars even more.

Answer: Breast lift with minimal scarring? Hello @morningbluz, thank you for your question. When we talk about the scar, is important to keep in mind that the location and the characteristics of the scar in terms of its extension depend on the specialist. However, scar evolution characteristics vary from patient to patient. That said, in terms of the scar regarding a breast Lift I have modified the incision to ensure minimal scarring and the most appropriate result from my 23 years of experience as a plastic surgeon. Most incisions are inverted T-shaped scars. However, I have modified the scar to improve the scar extension into an L shape to ensure minimal scarring. Below is a video that sheds more light on the matter. A consultation is vital to establishing a surgical plan that meets your needs, expectations, and takes into account what is possible. I link a video that sheds more light on the matter. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez, MD, FACS. Answer: Bellesoma Method The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
