30, female. thin-skinned bridg. I broke my nose in 2011. It left an obvious indentation on one side of my nose while the other is fine. I tried to fix it in Nov 2023, because it’s sinking in more and more as I age. It looks a little straighter, but there’s a brand new bump and it’s still a big indented. My question is - is this even something I can / should try to fix? Should meaning it’s not a massive risk to make it look worse. My goal is for it to be smooth, clear, and defined like the left.

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a revision rhinoplasty with placement of a fascial graft to help provide smoother contour of the dorsum and tip. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Is this even something I should try to correct with a revision anoplasty? A full set of facial photographs from all angles that are in focus are required to make a determination about how best to proceed, since revision rhinoplasty is the most difficult operation to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery. It's also important to know how much cartilage is left over on the inside of your nose for potential grafting purposes.
