I feel like my breasts are droopy and far apart. My kids are over 10 years old now and I'm not having anymore children. I'm in my mid 30s. I don't want implants. How long would a lift take? Does it require general anesthesia? Is twilight an option for a breast lift?

Answer: Wanting a breast lift to reposition breast tissue that appears deflated. While a breast lift won't add volume to your breasts, it can help your breasts appear less "deflated" and reposition breast tissue off of your upper abdomen and place it on your chest and therefore have a fuller look. If you want fuller breasts (more volume), combining a lift with implants may give you both the fullness and the lifted contour you’re looking for. It’s best to discuss your goals with your surgeon to decide the right approach. Sometimes the answer is a lift, sometimes the solution is adding volume through an augmentation, and sometimes it is a combination approach to achieve the desired goals.

Answer: Breast Lift "Based on your concerns about droopiness and distance between your breasts, you are a good candidate for a breast lift. A lift can raise and reshape your breasts, but to bring them closer together and improve fullness, implants are often recommended. A breast lift typically takes 2-3 hours and usually requires general anesthesia for optimal safety and comfort, though some surgeons may offer twilight sedation as an option. Discuss your anesthesia preferences and surgical goals with your surgeon to ensure the best results for your needs."

Answer: Twilight An Option It is an option to have surgery with just propofol sedation (i.e. without intubation) for this procedure. A breast lift would most definitely help to raise and reshape your breast. Relative to your breast and chest, your areolas are large and all of the areolar pigment may not be removed during your lift surgery, but can likely be removed at a later time. The procedure itself takes anywhere from 1.5hrs to 2.5hrs typically with a recovery time of 2-4 weeks.
