No bruising or swelling after 0.5ml lip filler, will it stay this size?

The lips are very sensitive and they usually swell up after lip filler injection. It's too soon to tell what your final results will be. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Swelling after lip injections can take up to two weeks to resolve.  If after that time you still would like more product, return to your injector for further treatment.  You started with a conservative amount of Juvederm, but that is one of the great things about this product.  You can build on it until you have the results you want.

Thanks for your question. Sorry that you are having issues after your injection, and thanks for including the photos – they are helpful.  We always recommend that you have these procedures done in the offices of board certified dermatologists or plastic surgeons as we are the experts in doing lip augmentation.  You have swelling from the photos – use ice and gentle massage often over the next few days – most of this settles out nicely, but can take up to two weeks to happen.  If at that time, something is not right, return to your provider to see if it needs to be dissolved or if something else is going on.  Good luck.

There is usually swellig the last for 1 to 2 weeks after a lip augmentation. I recommend that you follow up with your injector in two weeks and consider more filler if needed. I wish you the best. Dr. Ardeshirpour

In the majority of individuals the swelling will last 4 to 14 days after lip augmentation. Once the swelling has come down you can most definitely add more filler if needed. Good luck from New York City
