my first lip injections back in 2016 with JUVADERM, but I wasnt happy cuz It wore off very quick ,so in 2017 I went to get it again this time in a professional doctor clinic(notJuvaderm) this time it last way longer than my first one, but after 3/4 months I felt like there is no product left, so 6 months later I went there again and she used NEAUVIA Intense it was late April this year, it is July now, so about 3 months and I do feel like it is wearing off. Why it wears off super quick?
Answer: Lip fillers wear off? Not easy to pin point why this does to last in your face particularly, but there are often a number of explanations. I would need more history. Factors that range from pre-existing medical conditions.. to amounts that are injected.. to types of product that are used...to your pre-existing metabolic conditioning..to smoking.. are among some of the reasons. Hope this helps.

Answer: Longevity of fillers There are many possible causes of enhanced filler metabolism. As a general rule, never rely on filler duration advertised by the manufacturer unless they will guarantee it (it will not happen). There are very few medical conditions that may result in faster filler metabolism. These include: overactive thyroid, anorexia/bulimia, rare metabolic disorders. Also, the area of injection may be of importance: for example- there is a good chance that the same filler will last much longer when injected in the earlobe than in lips. Finally, the composition of each filler is different with many attributes determining its duration. In simple terms, a "thicker" filler will last longer than a "thinner" one. There are 5 different Juvederms available in the US and twice as many abroad. The duration of the effect varies but in relatively narrow range from longer lasting Juvederm Voluma on one end and Juvederm Ultra on the other. These fillers are made of hyaluronic acid. There is a Restylane line, composed also of hyaluronic acid, with Restylane Lyft lasting as long as Juvederm Voluma but is less expensive. Radiesse is a different filler that does not contain hyaluronic but a calcium compound. Unfortunately, it is not good for lip injections. NEAUVIA line has also many members of its family with different composition and durations. Some have hyaluronic acid and some combination of hyaluronic acid mixed with calcium compound. Since you did not mention which type of Juvederm and NEAUVIA were used it is impossible to comment on the difference between these two.Possible solutions if a long term effect is desired: Allofill, a filler composed of collagen and the contents of human fat cells. It is a great product that can be injected in any area of the body with a chance of lasting for years. Another option is fat transfer. This could be a tricky option depending on the method. If you consider transfer you must seek an experienced Plastic Surgeon who is know to do fat transfers very often. Out of these two, fat transfer is more complicated and longer procedure since fat tissue has to be harvested, then processed, then injected. Allofill is a ready-to-inject product. Interestingly, fat transfer price, in general, is similar to Allofill and equals to 3-4 syringes of the most common fillers. If you lip injection result in a short term improvement necessitating frequent injections, the fat transfer is really an attractive option. It would be reasonable to give one more chance to filler injection by using Restylane Lyft. It may surprise you! Lip implant is one more option but it is of no interest or appel to me so I can not comment. Good luck!
