if i redo ultra every 4 or so months (are still a bit bigger than baseline), how long would you expect ultra plus to last? i want my lips to last longer but i also want them to look natural - is this possible with ultra plus? i dont want it puffy/ducky looking. i want more "height" from the front profile, rather than protruding a lot. will ultra plus just make them more ducky/stick out? pics of my lips at approx 2.5 months since last top up (3rd time), id get them redone at around 4 month mark.
Answer: Ultra versus Ultra Plus Both products can yield a nice lip result if injected properly, but I will say, Ultra Plus does tend to cause a more firm lip (versus a soft, natural lip with Ultra) and has more potential to have lumps/ bumps once settled. You will probably gain 2-3 months of longevity compared to Ultra.

Answer: Lip filler options - which Juvederm product to use I like 3 different Juvederm products for the lips. Juvederm Volbella is soft, lasts the longest (~ 6-7 months), and is the most subtle of results (no crazy duck lips). Juvederm Ultra is slightly firmer and can give nice definition, a great starting point. For people with really thin lips or for whom Ultra or Volbella are not enough oomph, going to Juvederm Ultra Plus is a great option. Injection technique is also important, whether the body or vermillion is injected, and/or the cupid's bow. Most importantly, find a well trained expert physician injector such as a dermatologist to optimize your results and safety.

Answer: Lip filler Hello, Both products work well in the lip. Ultra Plus definitely lasts longer but is a little firmer so sometimes you can feel the product in the your lips. This usually settles over a few weeks. I tend to find the injection technique is the best predictor of ducky lips, not so much the product. A good injector could use a variety of products, but achieve similarly great results.

Answer: Juvederm Ultra versus UltraPlus for the lips You may get a slighter longer lasting result with Juvederm UltraPlus but I prefer the look that Juvederm Ultra provides when treating the lips over Juvederm UltraPlus. UltraPlus, in my opinion, leads to stiff lips that lose their natural suppleness/flexibility. I also think there is a great chance of lumps/bumps with UltraPlus as well when treating the lips.

Answer: Need the right injector Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC is bit more viscous than Ultra XC. Some injectors will not use Ultra Plus XC in lips due to the fact that it is a thicker material. I have injected Ultra Plus XC in multiple patients and they all have loved it. It has been shown that the Ultra Plus XC tend to last a tad longer in the lips than Ultra XC. I tell patients 5-7 month with Ultra XC, but 6-9 months with Ultra Plus XC. I’ve had patients even close to a year mark with Ultra Plus XC. Since you’ve had your lips done multiple times already in the past, in my opinion, you now can be a great candidate for Ultra Plus XC for your lips. I don’t like to place Ultra Plus XC in first time lip aug patients. I like their lips to stretch out a bit and get their lips to know the thinner hyaluronic acid material first a bit prior to using Ultra Plus XC the thicker material. As far as your “increasing height” to your upper lip, yes, a more of a “lip flip” and define/augment your Cupid’s Bow will give you that increased height and not projection. You gotta communicate that goal to your injector. Make sure your injector sees that end result in their vision. Make sure you find that artist, not just any injector.
