The best rhinoplasty in Nashville?

Thank you for your question.  You're on the right track by searching the internet and social media first, but many plastic surgeons will have photographs that are not posted on the internet and will provide them during your consultation.  In your rhinoplasty
consultation, be sure your surgeon addresses all your aesthetic goals and concerns
specifically, and discusses the surgery details including the position and size
of the incisions used (with actual photographs and not just digital animations),
the risks and benefits of the procedure, recovery time, and post-operative
course.  Also, be sure to see plenty of before-and-after pictures in women
who have a similar nose appearance to yours, and preferably at different time
frames (3 weeks out, 3 months out, etc) to more accurately predict your own
surgical outcome.
And lastly, I think the most
important component of the consultation is to establish a good connection with
your plastic surgeon.  It’s the connection that allows you to clearly define your desired nose outcome
goals, the first step of this whole process. If you don’t feel you have a
good connection with your plastic surgeon after your consultation, he/she may
not be the best surgeon for you.

Thank you for your question.  You are certainly on the right track in your reasearch to find a rhinoplasty surgeon who can help achieve your goals for your nose.  You are correct that a well executed rhinoplasty addresses all areas of the nose - the nasal tip, the dorsum (bridge), the symmetry of the nostrils, any deviation in the dorsum, and overall balance of the nose with the face.  As surgeons, we always try to post a representative portfolio on our website and sites such as RealSelf.  However not all patients wish for their photographs to be posted online.  Therefore, I would suggest you have and in person consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty.  Here you will be able to review all before and after photographs.Also, I would meet with a surgeon who has the capability to use a photograph morphing software to help show what your nose can look like after surgery.I hope that this helps!–David Gilpin

Feel free to consult with a few surgeons to reach a range of price and find a level of comfort with each surgeon. It's important to choose your surgeon based on extensive experience, since rhinoplasty is the most difficult procedure to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery. Study your prospective surgeon's before and after rhinoplasty photo gallery to make sure that it is extensive and reflective of their  work

There are many talented rhinoplasty surgeons out there who get great results.  A few ways to find one near you - look around on realself.  Examine before and afters and read reviews.  Once you've narrowed it down, schedule a few consultations and review your simulated surgical results on a 3D system with your surgeon.  You'll find someone you "click" with...ALWAYS choose a surgeon who is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery.Best of Luck!

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. I do not personally know many rhinoplasty surgeons in Nashville, but there are certainly many there. I agree with your plan to search RealSelf for a good recommendation. Of course, you will need an in-person consultation to evaluate you for this procedure. Preoperative visualization and surgical simulation with the Crisalix system may help with your decision. Any treatment plan should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon.    Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation in person with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
