Are fillers safe for someone who has rosacea? Might they cause the condition to worsen or trigger a flare up?

Thank you for your question. Fillers should not aggravate your rosacea. Consult with an experienced injector to find out which product would be best for you. 

You can have fillers with Rosacea. It will take 1-2 weeks for final results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. For rosacea, I like a combination approach, using lasers (ProYellow, Pulsed Dye/Vbeam, Excel V), peels and botox to the cheeks. This makes dramatic changes in color and symptoms. See an expert. You may notice a slightly more pronounced redness for the first couple of days but it should not be a problem. BBL laser treatments are quite effective for Rosacea

Thank you for your question. There is no evidence to suggest that fillers will exacerbate rosacea. A common temporary side effects of Hyaluronic acid fillers is a mild blush, and while this may be more pronounced in the Rosacea patient, it typically resolves in 24 hours or less. However, always make sure you have an experienced injector.
