Juvederm and dental cleaning?

Thank you for your question. I would recommend having your dental cleaning first.  Waiting a minimum of two weeks after your cleaning before having dermal fillers of the peri-oral region is a safer practice. Best of luck! 

Thanks so much for your question. Typically, we have folks do their dental work first, and then come in for their fillers. What might happen is when you place fillers in the lips, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines, then go to the dentist, they may have to retract on those areas to see appropriately. This will, of course, depend on the individual. Where are the fillers being placed? How many syringes? How much dental work is being done? etc. Please speak with your experienced, well trained injector. Let them know everything that is going on with your health. Also let them know about medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements that you may be taking.

Thank you for your question. I would advise you to schedule your fillers after your dental procedure is completed.

We encourage our patients to avoid dental work 2  weeks prior to any treatment.  If the dental work is after filler we ask you to wait 4 weeks.   Best of luck to you.

I would recommend scheduling your Juvederm after your dental cleaning.  If you have any significant dental work done, I would recommend waiting 2 weeks for the dental work to heal before receiving fillers.

There is a risk of infection occurring if the timing of dental work and dermal fillers is too close to one another. It is advised to wait 2 weeks in between these two procedures in order to minimize the chances of infection. We do recommend that the dental procedure be performed first if possible.

I recommend two weeks prior or two weeks post any dental work with an experienced Cosmetic Doctor.
