Is it okay to get more filler if I have tiny white lumps on my lips after my original filler? (Photos)

It does appear that the bumps you see and feel are related to superficial placement of filler. I would recommend consulting an experienced injector to have the bumps of filler dissolved with hyaluronidase before getting more filler in the lips. These type of bumps can happen after filler and are very easy to treat by an experienced injector. Please consult a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon for an evaluation. Best wishes.

It appears the old filler is still in the lip tissue and you may need it dissolved with hyaluronidase.  If you simply add more filler to your lips it will not treat the lumps you are already seeing. Once the old filler is dissolved you can safely add new filler in the proper depth of the lip (about 2 weeks after dissolving).

While it is impossible to make an accurate assessment from photos alone, it does appear you may have received superficial injections the first time around that have resulted in these bumps. The bumps might also be naturally occuring Fordyce spots. If the filler you received was hyaluronic acid, you can dissolve the substance with hyaluronidase before undergoing additional treatment. Always work with a board-certified dermatologist with experience in this procedure to ensure your fillers are placed accurately to ensure an optimal outcome. 

evaluate the bumps if these are just Fordyce spots then its not problem but if it truly is lumps then it should be fixed / reversed.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question and photographs.  It is unclear if the dots are fordyce spots or residual material but it appears more like the former.  In that case these are normal and you can pursue additional filler without issue.  If the latter, I would recommend having the areas dissolved before attempting another round of injections.  Hope this helps.

The tiny bumps may have already been on your lips (they are called fordyce spots), however now that they have been enlarged they have become more noticeable. More filler could potentially cause the same thing. You could try waiting to see if they go away when the filler wears off.  Rarely the filler can cause an encapsulated or granuloma lump which can be treated by an experienced cosmetic injector.

The lumps can be filer that is too close to the surface.  It can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.  You may want to have that done prior to getting new product injected.

I would have the lumps of filler dissolved using hyaluronidase before proceeding with additional filler. 

Thank you for your photo. Before injecting anymore filler, I would first recommend having those lumps dissolved away with a hyaluronidase injection. If the lumps are due to your previous filler, they should disappear. Lumps from scar tissue may be better treated with steroid injections. Fordyce spots are natural and harmless. I believe it would be best to be evaluated by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who can differentiate, based on physical exam granules of Fordyce verse small lobules of filler.
