I had Juvaderm ultra in this areas 2015-2016 and other side. R side went way no issue, L side damaged showed after a year. got 4 Hylenex done nothing. My L side lip pushed down, looks different and weird, when I talk even shows more. my L lower cheek looks like circle, these areas looks swelling, feels something tick layer under skin uncomfortable hard sometimes, changed my face and lip movement. People ask me why my L side change is so weird. Can someone help me PLZ! Dr who did it, doesn't know how.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are having since treatment.  I encourage you to see a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for an examination.  If there is residual filler, then more hyaluronidase treatments are necessary to dissolve it.  If the filler is gone an examination may help determine what the next step is in finding you a solution.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs and I am sorry that your results have not been what you anticipated and that you are continuing to deal with issues.  If Ultra can be confirmed to have been the filler the best treatment is to continue with hyaluronidase treatments to dissolve the material and possible low dose steroid injections for any granulomas.  Seek out a series of experienced injectors through Realself or the American society of plastic surgeons website for assistance.

It would require an examination. It could be unrelated to the injection and just coincidental. I would feel it to see if firm or soft. Does it move? Are you sure it was Juvederm or could it have been some foreign knock off? Consider more hyaluronidase, steroid or 5FU injections, colchicine or excision. Biopsy is probably a good idea as well with tissue cultures. Consider treating for mycobacterial infection with Biaxin.

Thanks for writing,As my peers have said, hyaluronidase is the best option. Injectable steroids can also help but one has to be careful with steroids as the can also dissolve fat, thin skin and also depigment the skin.  Good luck Stephen M. Davis, MD, FACS

If you were in fact treated with confirmed Juvederm Ultra, the best option would be to continue with hyaluronidase injections to dissolved the filler. It may take several treatment sessions to dissolve all of the filler. Intralesional steroid injections may help as well.
