Hi, I have always had a bulgy mons pubis area. It has gotten worse after pregnancy and a cosmetic procedures. What procedure would be best to have it flat and small or at least normal looking. Thank you

You have a fat deposit with excess skin so liposuction alone will not be satisfactory,. You need a pubic lift with fat removal and stabilization of the pubic skin to the abdominal muscles. The incision is usually like a caesarean incision. The potential complications are over-lifting the pubic area, concavities, and unnatural scars, so be careful of your choice of surgeon,

Thank you for your inquiry!   Photos make it difficult to see the full area of concern.  Liposuction of the area can help reduce the fullness, but depending on the laxity of the skin, it can also cause the skin to hang.  A tummy tuck, which includes muscle tightening and liposuction of the abdomen and also a monsplasty will help flatten the area.  It would be great to help your reach your goals. ​Without examining you it is difficult to be certain but based on the photos it looks like you would benefit from a monsplasty combined with liposuction to the mons. The liposuction will remove the excess fat to reduce the bulging and the monsplasty will lift it and remove the excess skin. Your photo shows fullness, looseness (laxity), and sagging of the mons pubis. If all you want is to tighten the mons pubis, a monsplasty (mons pubis lift) combined with liposuction will correct your issue. However, if you want to tighten up the abdomen at the same time, an abdominoplasty would be the solution. Either way, you will achieve flatness and tightness. Based on your concerns and submitted photo liposuction alone may not be enough as you would likely be left with too much skin laxity.  For you a combination of skin removal as well as liposuction should give you an improved, flatter mons area.

There are 2 common causes of too much fullness of the mons pubis.   1) too much fat with tight skin.   This is easily corrected with a very minor liposuction procedure.   2) the more common reason I see is loose drooping skin.   This happens most commonly after weight loss or after pregnancy!    If you pull up on your lower abdomen just above your pubic region and your mons looks good, then the reason is not too much fat, its due to loose, droopy skin.    In this case, the best thing is a Monsplasty which is skin tightening
