Rhinoplasty is a highly specialized procedure. Although they are done by plastic surgeons and facialPlastic surgeons you can’t make any broad generalizations regarding which to choose. That is especially true in a small town that probably doesn’t see much Asian rhinoplasty.,
Hi @sweet_lavendar. A rhinoplasty in my opinion is one of the most difficult procedures to perform. The skill, artistry, and technique of the surgeon will determine the outcome. I recommend seeing a facial plastic surgeon that specializes in nasal surgery. Best of luck to you!
Hello It depends on doctor's experience if doctor always does only Rhinoplasty surgery he will do good job
Both may be qualified to perform your surgery and it would not be accurate to say one speciality has a greater focus on aesthetics than the other. There are surgeons in both camps who do more reconstructive-based surgery and those who focus on aesthetics. Rather than focusing on whether it is a plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon, I would encourage you to seek out someone who has dedicated training and expertise in rhinoplasty surgery. Rhinoplasty is one of the most complicated procedures performed in aesthetic surgery and should be performed by a surgeon who has specific training in this area.Sean Fisher Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon
Plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon? there are plastic surgeons who do exclusively nasal surgery, and there are plastic surgeons who mostly do breast implants and liposuction and only do the occasional nose. Similarly there are facial plastic surgeons who do mostly noses or exclusively noses while there are others who do mostly other things. So ultimately it depends on theParticular surgeon and his level of experience and the amount of nasal surgery he performs. Nasal surgery has become a specialty unto itself ,so most of the more successful plastic surgeons or facial plastic surgeons who are best at it do only that. So what I would recommend is that you choose someone from either specialty who does exclusively noses and who has done them for many years since you need to do one or 2000 noses before you’re any good at it. Even after that you’re still learning
Hi there! There are competent surgeons within both realms. I, as a facial plastic surgeon, am biased. A facial plastic surgeon, in nearly all instances, has an ENT background and then proceeds to facial plastic surgery. As a result, these types of surgeons only focus on the cosmesis and reconstruction of the head and neck. We don't perform any procedures on the body such as breast implants, butt lifts, or tummy tucks. Our area of focus is very specialized with training only in this region. Our society - the AAFPRS - has a saying - "trust your face only to a facial plastic surgeon". Hope this helps!
If you have a functional breathing problems require a septoplasty, you might be better off seeing double board certified ENT facial plastic surgeon. Otherwise both plastic surgeons and facial plastic surgeon's can perform rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty is the most difficult operation to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, so choose your surgeon wisely based on extensive experience producing natural results.
It is difficult to give a full assessment, as only a portion of your nose is shown in the photo. In every rhinoplasty consult I have I ask patient's their top three concerns that they are hoping to correct with surgery. Rhinoplasty is a very individualistic surgery and different patients (and...
Goretex and other synthetic materials tend to show edges and contour irregularities over time as they thin the skin of the nose. Rather than changing the implant for another Goretex implant, which will inevitably cause issues long-term, the better option would be to remove the implant and...
Hello You need to do second surgery if your nose was broken but first you need to send your photos after we can give a decision
