I have a large nose for my face , with the nostrils really large. Is there a specific math/angle for ideal nose size vs face size? Can Rhinoplasty help fix my issues
Answer: Ideal Nose Size Hi there! There are some parameters we follow in rhinoplasty as guidance for an “ideal” aesthetic, though individual consideration is very important. Nostrils can be reduced during rhinoplasty. I call this an alar base reduction and can look quite nice. It’s important in Asian rhinoplasty not to narrow the nostrils too much as it can look operated. Roughly, the nose should be about 1/3 of the face (horizontal thirds). There are many other nuisances for projection, length, etc. Visit with a facial plastic surgeon to determine what changes may best fit your face. Best of luck!

Projecting the tip of your nose and making it slightly taller will allow the nostrils to appear smaller and more refined from the frontal view. #drdonyoo

These are a good starting point, but surgeon experience and analysis of your nose, and a close discussion with you about your goals is the most important way to determine the plan for a rhinoplasty procedure.
