What should I get first? Mommy Makeover, BBL with Lipo 360, or the BBL/Tummy Tuck? (Photo)

I perform the TT and liposuction/BBL combination frequently, because many of my patients only want to go through surgery and recovery one time. Recovery can be challenging and uncomfortable. However, there are creative ways to manage the recovery position. Pillows can be placed under the lower back and the posterior thighs and patients can sleep on the back. A cushion with a hole cut out can perform a similar role. There is also a mattress with a hole into which you can place your buttocks and sleep on your back. You could stage the procedures and have the liposuction and BBL performed first; six months later have the TT and BL with augmentation.

I would begin with your breasts using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. At the same time or later, a tummy tuck can be performed. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight. After these have been completed, you can consider liposuction with fat transfer to your breasts if additional volume is desired.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is better to get BBL first and tummy tuck later. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

I appreciate your concerns and desires and it appears you do have options. Liposuction with fat transfer to the breasts can be done, however 1500 mL per breast is a lot because that much fat probably will not take in the breasts. Usually a maximum of increase of 2 cup sizes can be achieved with fat transfer to the breasts. I do not recommend having the BBL and tummy tuck performEd simultaneously as recovery is extremely difficult because you cannot lay on your back or your tummy For 2 weeks after surgery and there is an increased chance for complications when both are done simultaneously. Lastly I am afraid there are no good options yet for cellulite. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to explore the best options for you. Good luck.

Combining procedures is commonly done and considered safe, but there is a limit. Typically you separate the BBL from the breast and tummy work for comfort during recovery. The amount of fat you stated that is being transferred to the breasts seems high. You want to ensure that you are comfortable and confident in what you can expect in terms of results from each procedure. For example, a tummy tuck will address loose skin and abdominal wall laxity, where liposuction will not. I encourage you to visit with a few board certified plastic surgeons in your area to get different perspectives to help you in deciding what is right for you.

To me you have a full bottom and you have moderate cellulite. Based on those two facts I would consider skipping the BBL. Federal transfer can make the cellulite worse and you don’t really need gluteal volume.

When we make an assessment for someone’s abdomen we look at for variables. These are abdominal skin laxity, excess subcutaneous fat, muscle separation from previous pregnancies and excess visceral or intra-abdominal fat.

Based on your pictures it looks like you have all four and all four are probably contributing in equal amounts.

If having a tight flat abdomen is important and you don’t mind the scar and a natural appearing belly button then consider a full tummy tuck.

If you want to improve your contour and make your midsection smaller than liposuction of your full torso and arms would be an excellent option.

I typically view the torso as a single anatomic unit and try to treat all of it leaving no area untreated in order to leave people with a natural even thin a fat distribution.

A full torso technically includes upper abdomen, lower abdomen, love handles, always, back and under arms.

Arm Liposuction would balance liposuction of your torso very well.

Liposuction results vary substantially among different providers.

You should also expect to get different opinions based on different providers experience, training and personal philosophy in terms of what would be the best procedure, combination of procedures or which procedure you should have first.

I suggest asking yourself what part of the body bothers you the most and what change would be most important.

Likewise, consider what you’re willing to go through in regards to recovery scars, side effects, risk and cost.

I suggest the following.

Insist on only experienced a board-certified plastic surgeons.

Try to stay local and not travel for elective surgical procedures.

Whenever possible have in person consultations rather than virtual consultations.

Schedule multiple consultations.

During the consultation ask each provider to show all of their before and after picture for the procedure you’re interested in. Your goal should not be to see the best results of their career but to see what Average results look like and get some confirmation of how many of these procedures that provider has performed.

Never schedule surgery during the consultation. Always finish all your scheduled consultations and always give yourself a few days to think about decisions that will permanently and irreversibly change your body.

Read all reviews on various physician review websites avoiding providers with any significant number of justified negative reviews.

The presence of justified negative reviews is far more telling than abundance of positive reviews.

Organic unmanipulated reviews tend to fall fairly equally among different physician review websites.

When in doubt slow down and schedule more consultations.

The choice a provider is by far the more important decision potentially even more important then choosing what procedure you should have.

Expect to get different opinions which is generally the case when someone may be a candidate for different procedures.

Liposuction is perhaps the easiest cosmetic procedure to perform but in reality it is one of the most difficult to deliver high-quality results on a consistent basis. To master body contouring takes years of experience.
