Having elevated levels of ferritin is not harmful by itself, rather it is an indicator of other symptoms that are damaging your body. Recommend that you consult with the doctor who ordered the lab work to determine if other tests can provide additional information regarding the reason for the high levels. You need clearance that you are healthy before considering a MM.
