I want to make it softer or more rounded (less pointy). Can I use fillers to round it out? Or shave off the jaw? Even a minimal decrease would be ok. I’m not looking for perfection.

There are both surgical and non-surgical options available to address a protruding chin and achieve a softer or more rounded appearance. Non-surgical dermal fillers can be used to add volume and round out the chin area, creating a smoother and less pointy appearance. If you are looking for a more permanent solution, chin reduction surgery (genioplasty) can be considered.

You probably have prominence due to the mandible having a boney structure that projects your soft tissue. You would likely need to some kind of reduction genioplasty (boney chin surgery).
You would consult a plastic surgeon that does genioplasty as part of their practice or a maxillofacial surgeon for x-rays to evaluate the relationship of the prominence to your soft tissue and dental anatomy. Then an operation to reduce the prominence could be determined, as there are various ways to reduce the mandible, the most common being a sliding genioplasty which cuts the bone horizontally and slides it back.
