Do I have a recessed lower jaw? Genioplasty candidate? (Photo)

Do I have a recessed lower jaw? If so, am I a good candidate for genioplasty? I am looking slightly downwards in the first picture. I don't think I have an overbite.

Orthodontic treatment will not change or affect the cosmetic appearance of your chin. If you have a weak chin, you can proceed with a genioplasty or chin implant irregardless of whether you get braces.

The numbers shouldn't really matter. Hopefully your doctor provided you with a simulation so you could see your potential outcome. It would help you and the surgeon to be on the same page about what you like vs dislike. They should base movements on what you want to look like, and not just focus...
