Looking into procedures to reduce/soften my chin shape. In mid 40's and not sure if late to do. Somthing I've been insecure about for a long time. Would this be the best procedure to consider? I also have teeth crowding and a narrow palate so Wondered if jaw surgery could also be an option.
I had a genioplasty and then a revision a couple of months ago. I wish I had gotten a chin implant, because I feel like they look more contoured and elegant. On top of that I would like a little bit more of projection. Specially from a third quarter view I notice that people with chin augmentation have a really nice balance with the rest of their face that I still lack. I wonder if there is a chin implant small enough to fit in there or if it would be too much? Am I stuck with getting just filler?
I am almost 50 and I have always despised my long face. I have narrow lower face, prominent cheekbones and hollow infra-orbital and temporal areas. My lower face has significant volume loss that makes my face even longer and unattractive. I am interested in facial surgery to shorten my face and give me a youthful appearance. My forehead is also quite large. Retrospectively, I most likely had a subtle Bell's palsy on right.
Hi, for reference I am a 26 y/o male and have a short, round face. I want a vertical genioplasty advancement of 810mm to balance my face aesthetics better. I hired someone to edit pictures of what my face might look like after a vertical genioplasty. Can these edits translate to realistic, surgical results? What do you think the approximate size (mm) of the vertical advancement is in these edits?
Ive attached an X-Ray of my jaw and teeth. Ive already had a consult regarding Genioplasty where I was told they could cut a big chunk of the chin, reshape it and reposition it into a better position. I see my chin and feel it would be a good idea to go for it, however I dont know if it will give me the result Im looking for, in some cases Ive seen Genioplasty to be underwhelming. And what Im looking for is to improve my jawline and reduce the bottom third which is protruding. I am also looking into jaw surgery as it could be a better solution but is much more agresive and would prefer Genioplasty + maybe chin and jaw implants, but, if Jaw Surgery would really make that much of difference I think Id go for it. Thanks for reading and taking the time to answer.
Hello, I am planning on getting a sliding genioplasty surgery done, but I have read several studies online noting a millimeter or two of bone resorption after the procedure. How and where does this resorption happen? And can it be prevented or minimized with a good diet?
Hi there, I know my facial symmetry is poor, but I don't know what exactly would improve it. My jaw is very small following from my ear to my mid face, at that point there is a bump and the rest is very round. My chin has a ton of fatty tissue but is also pronounced bone underneath. Im assuming if I reduce the size of my chin & jaw I will eventually need a nose job too. Im ready to begin consultations now & have the operation this year.
I want to make my chin longer, pointier and maybe move it forward just a little bit (ok if not ), so I can achieve a more v-shaped face like in the last picture where I have fillers. I am debating between a sliding genioplasty and an implant. however I'm a little worried about implant shifting as I know someone to who it happened and they had to have it removed. What procedure would help me achieve the best result like in the last picture?
