Answer: Fat transfer Dear Hepburnn, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is possible to transfer fat to inner thighs during BBL. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Fat transfer to the thighs Must’ve my patients who have gluteal fat grafting have some fat grafted to the hip and thigh area. The amount and proportion depends on each individual persons body type. for those who have thin extremities and a large midsection or a “SpongeBob” type body adding volume to the thighs becomes more important. There are two inherent limitations which is the amount of fat available for grafting and how much post tissue is in the area being grafted to support proper volumes of grafted fat. One way of thinking about this is in the percentage of fat that can be increased with grafting. if done correctly subcutaneous fat can be doubled in thickness with one session of fat transfer. attempting to do more than that often leads to an increase in graft loss. In other words if the fat layer on your thigh is 1/2 inch then you can possibly create 1 inch if you have enough fat to work with under ideal circumstances. Even if your thighs are thin we typically don’t graft on the inner thighs but it can be blended to wherever it’s needed. When doing a BBL I typically don’t aim to simply create a large buttocks but instead viewed the procedure as a contouring procedure that creates an S curve that goes from the armpit to the knee. I see other plastic surgeons who purposely Liposuction the thighs to create a larger buttocks which leaves patients sometimes looking unnatural and cartoonish. From my perspective the goal is to create smooth sweeping curves. Delivering consistent high-quality liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people believe. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of choosing the most experienced and talented providers for this procedure. Both technical skill and aesthetic judgment varies greatly. Choose providers after having multiple in person consultations. During consultations as providers to show their entire collection of before and after pictures including better results, average results and less than results. The goal is not to see the best three outcomes of their career but instead to see what average results look like and get some type of confirmation of how many of these procedures the surgeon has performed. And experience provider should have no difficulty showing you 50 or more sets of before and after pictures of the procedure and area of interest. I also recommend reading all reviews on various physician review websites and avoiding providedrs with any significant number of justified negative reviews. The absence of justified negative reviews is more telling and more important than an abundance of positive reviews. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Fat Grafting to Inner Thighs Fat grafting to the inner thighs can be performed during a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) to achieve your desired look. If you are a good candidate (less than 5L of fat) for a BBL the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD,FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
