BBL and genetics - would any of the fat survive or would implants be the better option for me?

It is important, however, to carefully examine your case, to have a consultation, and to consider factors such as your body features, age, needs, and expectations. Interesting question but you DID NOT post photos?? I have never heard of a genetic predisposition of fat loss as aging occurs in the buttock as a specific area. Best to virtual consult with..... Because fat grafts always give better shapes then buttock implants.

Fat injection and butt implants serve for similar goals, however they are completely different in many aspects and in a technical way. A detailed physical examination being the gold standard, detailed photos also reveal information regarding your condition. We will be happy to evaluate your question with photos included.

There are numerous variables to take into consideration when getting an assessment for any cosmetic surgical procedure. The fat grafted will behave like the fat from where it was harvested.
Without posting pictures we can’t begin to make an assessment regarding your candidacy. The majority of plastic surgeons in the United States do not offer gluteal implants though they seem to list almost every cosmetic surgery ever described on the web pages.
There’s a good reason why must plastic surgeons don’t deal with gluteal implants. The procedure has a very high complication rate and even if the operation does not fail the number of side effects or negative consequences to having gluteal implants makes it an unpopular procedure for both surgeons and patients.
Anybody considering gluteal implants should choose only the handful of plastic surgeons in the United States we specialize exclusively on that procedure. It is a difficult procedure to do well consistently and a substantial number of patients have complications or have issues after.
Liposuction and fat transfer is also not an easy procedure to deliver quality results consistently and not everybody is a good candidate for the procedure.
The BBL is far more common and far more prevalent than gluteal implants.
You can always have consultations for both procedures and learn firsthand what each provider has to say. I would recommend that whatever procedure you choose you find someone who has mastered that procedure with a proven track record including a portfolio of before and after pictures that numbers into the hundreds.
